Topic: fishing pole help
I'm doing an animation with a man fishing. Unfortunately, the lego fishing pole isn't the greatest for animation.
How could I have the man cast the line and then how would I have him reel it in? ![]()

I'd take the line out and just use the rod while animating, then put the line in using AE or GIMP in post. If you don't want to go that route, find some thin wire and see if that works. To show him operating the reel, if you choose your camera angles wisely you should be able to disguise the fact that the hands aren't in the proper position.
ok I think I figured out a good enough way to do it but thanks
