I'm trying to figure out how to indicate that certain pieces of dialog are not said out loud by a character but are instead the audience hearing the thoughts of the character. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of trying some reverb, maybe EQing, who knows. How would you indicate it?

Reverb was what instantly popped into my mind. What's being said also makes a difference.
I tried it in my video Fizzy Juice
I think it turned out pretty well.
