Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Fried Green Tomatoes

Wow, I actually thoroughly enjoyed that! I thought it was going to be a boring chick-flick, but I was wrong, it ended up to be a brilliant movie.

Atanarjuat

I have to say that I got bored at some points while watching it, and that I had trouble following it at times, but the fact that it's entirely in the Inuit language, takes place 2000 years ago with no Europeans in sight (which is so unusual when you think about it), and feels incredibly natural really made it worthwhile for me.

Darkman, I noticed you always put quotation marks around names of things like companies or websites or channels, when you actually don't have to do that in English.

Ok, thanks for the tip.

3:10 to Yuma

In the beginning it seemed kinda dull, but going towards the ending it became pretty awesome. I don't know why but I just like Christian Bale's voice (except his Batman voice).

Spoiler (click to read)

Although in the end it's really unrealistic that he isn't shot before he reaches the train mini/confused

He was shot twice! Once in the leg and the other when the bullet hit his metal foot. "Lucky", I loved that. mini/mrgreen
Also at the end there he got shot at at point-blank range. Nobody really had got that close to him until then, if I remember correctly. I could be wrong. Still, it was all a bit unrealistic, I have to say and I think everyone agrees it was one of the best parts in the entire film.

Jack Nicholson is awesome, as is Stanley Kubrick

Terminator Salvation

Not as good as the others, but it was still enjoyable.

I loved that new 9 trailer attached to it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

'Star Trek' (2009)

This is the best movie I have seen since 'The Dark Knight'. I mean....Wow! (It also spawns probally the best 'Bum Reveiw' ever)

Spoiler (click to read)

I only have three gripes:
-I almost cheered when it played the old Star Trek theme song, but I would have liked to have heard the slightly newer theme at some point.
-Chester A Bum does have a point. Everyone in the movie is an a$$hole.
-Why do Prequels always have more advanced technology? The Enterprise looks like an Apple store (sponsorship?). Ok, the sets dont have to be made of cardboard, and the ships dont have to be held up by string, but come on set designers...
