On Her Majesty's Secret Service

I was lucky enough to go see this in the cinema. A lot of people think this is one of the weakest in the Bond series but I'd have to disagree I feel it's one of the best. The jokes got much more laughs than usual and the film seemed much funnier. But the funniest thing though was when Bond's ally was watching the villains he hides behind a newspaper. The headline on this newspaper was "WHY BROWN HAD TO GO" and the man along from me burst out laughing then just about everyone kept laughing. This film almost felt like two different films in one in the first half then both of them merging together at the end. You have the more human Bond at the start of the film then you've got the more espionage Bond feelings in the middle then both elements collide at the end. Until Casino Royale Bond has always been presented as an invincible hero but in this film he is presented as human and it really gives it a quality lacking in others in the series.

Shrek 1 and 2 are a guilty pleasure of mine, but yeah, just popcorn films.  They amuse me.

But I thought Kung Fu Panda was actually beautiful at parts, and a very well-made film.  I'd almost dare to say it was better than Pixar's Cars (definitely the black sheep of Pixar).

But besides that, every single other CGI film from Dreamworks is just terrible...awful...horrific.

I really enjoyed Lost in Translation as well, however I didn't like the other Sofia Coppola film I've seen, The Virgin Suicides (which I went into after a friend that I typically trust described as being on the same level as Requiem For A Dream or Grave of the Fireflies, but it was just a bunch of unpleasant  people I didn't care about, and to many to even remember there names)

Last film I watched was Fitzcarraldo and it was awesome.

There Will Be Blood
Just finished watching it and I'm not really sure about it. It had parts that I liked and parts I didn't. The music for one, I kept going back and forth with loving it and thinking it was the wrong music for the movie. Seems like half the time it sounded like it was from either a thriller or a slasher. The cinematography was great, it was probably the only thing I like all the way through the movie.
I'll have to let this movie sit and brew for a while, I'll probably watch it again some time soon and we'll see how it goes.

While I'll agree with you and say that it may be better than Cars, Kung Fu Panda suffered terribly because of awful pacing, predictable plot points, and practically nonexistent character development and structure.  I thought it was a decent movie overall, but what really disappointed me is that the film had so much potential to be truly brilliant.  It just didn't do all of the things that it could have.

Comes out tomorrow, I'm excited about it. I might see it in theaters.

Holy crap, Ahnuld is actually in the movie?! Awesome, I thought they completely ditched him for this one. I'm more excited now.

Wild Rovers

Pretty cool western film for a 1971 movie
