finding nemo is awesome, almost everything about it.

well, in other news,

the texas chainsaw massacre (the first one ever)

well, as being a SAW fan, I was expecting to be something comparable. but god, I was freaking wrong.

SAW is a today kind of movie, with the effects and stuff, not a very low budget, and some amazing cinematography.

this, however, does not include those things.

TCM was much much scarier than any SAW movie I have ever seen. which is about all of them. lets compare, shall we?

SAW, a movie with people getting stuck in brutally killing traps, and they try to make it out alive, but most not.

TCM, a movie with just straight out killing.

so, I make my point, saw most does not show people dying, but this, ummm, is uncut. what made it even more scary was that this film is a very low budget film, with some camera shakes, with only very very little effects. which made it like a documentary, like the blair witch project. although, I admit it, some parts were just too sccary for me, so I had to look away. my parents didn't make me, but I chose to at some parts. note to self: whenever dad says that it's a scary movie, LISTEN TO HIM DAMMIT.

so the only thing they could've done to make this movie better was to make the chairs stare away from the screen in theatre.

Star Trek

Extremely well done film. The story was great, although I did get confused in some parts, I understood pretty much everything by the end of the film. The casting was good, although I don't think the actor who played Spock did as well as I think he could have, he could have been a bit more Spock-like IMO. Also, I think the way they got Leonard Nimoy in the film was ingenious. The guy who played Kirk was great, he did nice job. I actually really liked the camera work in the film, aside from the really shaky bits, I thought it was very well done. And the sound editing was just a masterpiece, the way they mixed in the original sounds was nicely done. Also, yeah... I forgot my sunglasses, I got blinded a lot by the lens flare, they just went a bit insane with that.

I'm so glad at the end of the film they put the original theme, that was great. The soundtrack composer did it so well too.]

One thing that was hysterically awesome was when in the coming attractions they played the G. I. Joe trailer and by the time it ended everyone in the theater was laughing at how ridiculous it looked. I don't think anyone is going to see that movie.

This is a really nice classic horror film. It has a funny twist on death and I think the horror scenes were meant to be funny. So a very nice film. They used a blend of CGI and Stop-Motion and the Stop-Motion was really good, but the CGI looked cheesy. Overall 3.14/5

And besides, when Pixar does a fart joke, it's usually not as crude as most other companies, and it works. And it doesn't make the film rated "PG" for crude humor.

I don't see talking animals in Monsters V.S. Aliens. I see a guy who was turned INTO a     roach.
And a talking monster.
EDIT: But yeah, I do agree with you about Shrek 1 2 and 3.

Monsters Vs Aliens was a brilliant concept that was executed in the poorest way possible.

I'm a HUGE sucker for vintage monster/sci-fi movies, and when I heard about this movie, I was ecstatic.  The whole idea of a spoof of old monster movies in animated film format was easily one of the best film ideas I had ever heard, especially because they were planning do directly spoof two of my favorite b-horror movies, "The Blob" (B.O.B.) and the original, campy "The Fly" (Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.)

I was so pumped to see this movie, because I was enthralled in the fact that Dreamworks could have finally stepped up and made a film that wasn't just entertaining, but classy and witty.

I was SO wrong.  This film takes the concept and absolutely ruins it.  By deciding to set the movie in modern days, Dreamworks ruined the vintage feel that I and so many monster movie fans were waiting for.  The film had TERRIBLE pacing, and character motivations were nonexistent.

I NEVER turn off a movie halfway through.  I've only done that with Lost in Translation, New York Minute (don't ask), and now, the third film on the list, Monsters Vs Aliens, which I turned off after an excruciatingly painful 30 minutes of viewing time.

Dreamworks, the way I see it, will NEVER recover from the pathetic, pop-culture worshiping, money grubbing mindset it's poisoned its staff and creative department personnel with.
