Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I'm at 0% on everything.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I've starting animating but I think I'll change Idea unless someone help's me with special effects, because I don't have any grass, that is important for the set of my possible entry...and not only grass...oh, the history is on 1445 (WW II), in Italy, but there isn't a lot of blood...and, for obvious reasons, to make it more realistic, I'll have to find only Italians voices (one of them will be mine) and put subtitles...

-20% here.

How that's possible I don't even know.

Darkness cannot be destroyed. It can only be channelled.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

That would probably constitute of turning an edited film back into raw footage. If you were to continue, you would probably delete it frame by frame until there was no film left. Then you would delete the script from the end until you had just an idea, which you would forget. Then you would lose all inspiration and would finish at -100%.

Have you thought of putting frayed green paper on or in front of the set to look like grass?
I'm probably going to have subtitles in my movie too.

I never plan on buying anything when I go to the Lego Store.
Strangely enough, I always wind up finding something that makes me ditch those plans.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

Is it ok if my film has stuff like shooting and people getting shot and shells, grenades and stuff like that? It is a WWI film after all.

And

I think you mean 1945. mini/wink

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I suppose.

If you guys are wanting to make a blood-and-guts, gory war and/or horror movie, a BiM contest about 'space, time, and reality' probably isn't the best venue.  This may not be something where you can just adapt whatever you're currently working on to fit the contest and expect to place well.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

Don't worry, my film has meaning, and it will not be horror, blood-and-guts. A bit of gory war, yes but that is not much.

no... there'll be just one scene with "action", if I can call it action...

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

Argh, I've already gone through two different story ideas and rendered them both unable to be made within the given time.

*sigh* Back to square one, I suppose.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I won't animate until I'm confident I'm getting better

That's exactly the problem I've got! I thought of something really cool, but it requires way too much work to be able to finish in time. Oh well. I think I might try something very short and simple, but put enough work into it so that it will be cool. We'll see how it goes, I guess.

I think I need more brown bricks to pull this off. mini/confused

I've change my idea to a horror film, and yes, I've found a way to make it fit the theme. mini/wink

EDIT: whoops. forget that.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I'd love to enter but unfortunately I haven't been able to come up with a good story beside the clichés.

I've just cut out a good-sized chunk of my script, rearranged a few events, and stitched it all back together. (classic me. mini/mrgreen)

And I just realized I only own a fraction of the tan and brown bricks I need. (Bricklink!)

I need a ton of tan.
