Well, I really can't see why they think it's a horror film, you have to THINK more rader than see visual disgustings.
I just got wrong messages from this film, like: horror, guy chopping woman into pieces. and suddenly it was Christian Bale narrating trough the whole film and killing people horribly out of sight. it was interesting and funny but I was hoping for other stuff
I love his line about Ed Gein.
I crinched when there was a scene with Bale walking to work and the song "I'm walking on Sunshine" playing 
The intro was...
WTF, just fancy food.
it starts with what seems to be blood but is just food from a table.
I need to see the film again cause the ending left me really confused.

No, because they make us believe that this was gonna be a horror film.

Pretty funny. Not nearly as much fun as 'Johnny English', but containing a pretty good cast and some funny gags. (It even has a Chuck Norris Joke)

Saw Star Trek yesterday. It was very good and I enjoyed it even though I've never seen any previous films or TV episodes. Take some sunglasses though, otherwise you'll be blinded by overused lens flares.
Then I watched The Blaire Witch Project on DVD. Great suspense and brilliant acting, and now that I've seen it Cloverfield seems entirely less original.

Went to see Coraline with some friends.
I loved it.The animation was just superb,the plot origional,and the audio awesome.My only qualm is that some scenes were not PG.This film had bordered on a mild psychlogical horror at some points.
It rocked.
Star Trek
Now being a long term Star Trek fan, 33+ years I guess. I have seen all the episodes of all the series and all the films.
There are good films and bad ones.
So hearing that this was a completely new cast that were taking on the characters from the original series, I was a little concerned.
I had also heard that they had messed about with the 'Star Trek History' you know the established chain of events and back story of the different series. This I was not happy about. So I went with a preconceived opinion about this film. But had to go and see the film anyway, couldn't call myself a Trekkie and not see it
Opinion:
Casting was brilliant and the actors chosen did a great job. Was kind of expecting bad impressions of the original cast, but the new cast did a great job, they had really studied the original actors and took their mannerisms and inflections. After a while you really were convinced they were the younger versions of the established original crew.
This wasn't style over substance either, there was a good plot, and subplots as well as excellent special effects.
By the time the film ended I was totally hooked and hyped up. This has injected new life into the Star Trek series and I thought it was AWESOME - Can't wait to see what they do next.

I have seen it. Though I think I have to see it again since the last time I saw it I was with a friend, so I couldn't really put all my attention on the film. But from what I remember of the story was, meh. But still I couldn't think of anyway they could have made it better.
I really like the story, though it is one that is sort of uneventful.
Star Trek
As a fairly serious trekker here I noticed every little inconsistency with the Star Trek canon, but at the same time I'm not obsessed enough to really be bothered by little things. On the whole I really enjoyed this, it was certainly much more entertaining and lively than Star Trek has been since First Contact, and for the most part I think it kept with the general attitude of optimism inherent to Star Trek. I think some trekkies have complained about the film sacrificing depth for action and excitement and that's partly true, but I don't think the original series-based movies were ever as pervasively philosophical as the next generation films. I really liked Generations, Insurrection, and Nemesis, and appreciated the depth the stories and characters have, but I can see how the general approach to those films would scare off anybody not already familiar with the show and characters. I think it's important to strike a balance, and this movie did that well. There were lots of little references which were fun as well, though they were integrated in a way such that they weren't heavy-handed. I was a little surprised and disappointed that they didn't make use of the original Star Trek music themes more, but I can understand why a composer would want something of a fresh start, and Michael Giacchino is talented enough that he certainly didn't need to rely on the works of others to create a really good score for the film. Enjoyed the remix of the original theme during the credits.
Wiping out the original timeline within the movie was something I wasn't expecting, but I liked the idea behind it. Definitely opens it a lot for future installments, and they're already working on a sequel.
Seeing movies like this makes me want to get going on my sci-fi project!

Star Trek
On the whole, I really enjoyed myself (coming from a non-Trekkie). The special effects and action scenes were fantastic. I thought most of the characters were really well-developed, especially Kirk, Spock, and Bones. However, on that note, I sorta wish they spent more time developing the relationship between Kirk and Spock, it felt kind of rushed. The casting and acting was really good, I liked Simon Pegg as Scotty. Overall, I had a lot of fun.
Loved the free-falling from space scene in particular. Also, seeing Leonard Nimoy reprise his role was pretty awesome.

I was not bored for second of that entire film. Pretty sweet. I need to go watch the old ones now.
