Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The New World extended cut

This is such a complex and unorthodox film that I think I'll need multiple viewings to really appreciate the visual and narrative language, but I still love it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Invisible

The horrible acting and unnecessary elements killed what was a good concept for a movie. I'd stick with The Sixth Sense if I were you.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Dentist on the Job

Ah. You just cant beat the black and white silent films, with really long and boring opening cre....

Whoops! Wrong reel....

Monty Python and The Holy Grail

The funniest thing I have watched in a very long time. Every scene is guarenteed to be cemented in eveyones mind forever.

My only gripe is the slightly overdone ending gag. Though funny, I think it only needed to go on for a minuite before we all got the joke. That is my only complaint.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Dentist on the Job was not a silent film. And it's credits were not really long and boring.

I saw Star Trek and I was impressed. Karl Urban was really Bones I was really. If there is a sequel, which I suspect, I hope they be more sciency Sci-fi and less actiony sci-fi (not that I'm saying it's a bad thing)

As off now my favourite Trek films are
Wrath Of Khan, First Contact and now this.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Chicken Run
This was great. The music was awesome.
The animation was superb, even though I saw a FEW light flickers, but only a little bit. Only in the dark parts. Every part of it was great.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Star Trek 2009

Just came back from the cinema...

HOLY SODA CRACKER!

That was great! Special effects blew my mind all over the room! It was like BANG BANG BANG, and all you could do was sit there like a vegetable. Pretty insane.

From a semi-trek fan's standpoint, I thought it was nice little 21st century adaptation but my only gripe was that they basically erased the Star Trek timeline, they are pretty much starting fresh, and now you know there's gonna be this whole new generation Star Trek movies. Sometimes it felt as if you were watching Star Trek produced from George Lucas, and there weren't many of the classic 'sit around and think to outsmart the enemy' scenes. Plus I thought that the villain seemed like a softy. You weren't feeling like they were ultimate (@&% and they should die.

But still, it's an action packed regeneration of star trek that had me stuck in my seat. You have my recommendation.

I'll slap this one with a 3.5/5 I enjoyed it very much but I feel more intense Trekkies won't.

EDIT: High five to Mr. Hoogle, Wrath of Kahn is a work of genius.

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm

Oh yeah, awesome batman movie.
Everything is great from story to animation.

One recommendable animation film for the young and the adults.

The actors are all signed up for three movies.

Spider-Man 3

If any of you suspect that Eddy Brock survives, no, you can see his freakin' skeleton in the explosion] for crying out loud.

Anyway, I still die a little bit inside when Peter goes emo.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

We Were Soldiers
After hearing much about it from my friends, I decided I'd give it a go.
This film was amazing! Saving Private Ryan in Vietnam. I really felt for the soldiers in this film. It's shown how both fronts react on the loss of their husband, America and Vietnam. This way I didn't only feel sorry for America, which happens in so many movies, but also for the Vietnamese women. The music in this film was also superb.
I don't know (and, TBH, I don't really give a damn) how people call this a bad movie. One scene overwelmed me with emotions. I don't know why. The soldiers were waiting for the buses. Well, four of them. You hear this great music. No dialogue. I was overwelmed.

The thing I hated, though, was Sgt. MacKenzie that was played during the whole movie. It was beatifull at one point, but it got boring after a while.
Also, the speech given by Mel Gibson was very emotional. Let me get it for ya'll:

Look around you. In the 7th Cavalry, we got a captain from the Ukraine, another from Puerto Rico. We got Japanese, Chinese, blacks, Hispanics, Cherokee Indians, Jews and Gentiles—all American. Now here in the States, some men in this unit may experience discrimination because of race or creed, but for you and me now, all that is gone. We're moving into the valley of the shadow of death, where you will watch the back of the man next to you, as he will watch yours, and you won't care what color he is or by what name he calls God. They say we're leaving Home. We're going to what home was always supposed to be. Let us understand the situation. We're going into battle against a tough and determined enemy. I can't promise you that I will bring you all home alive, but this I swear, before you and before almighty God: that when we go into battle, I will be the first one to set foot on the field, and I will be the last to step off. And I will leave no one behind. Dead or alive, we will all come home together. So help me God.

My first proper review.

omg, I just watched that movie twice last night. Once with commentary. Did you know that originally Gwen Stacy was going to be the one held hostage by Venom and Sandman?] After hearing that from Sam Raima himself I said, wow this is a great movie. It's funny when you think this is the worst possible story they could have thought up, and then you hear that it could have been a lot worse.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Well, I wouldn't call it great, by any measure...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

American Psycho

This is the weirdest horror movie I have ever seen in my life mini/eek

you know why ? Because it wasn't even scary at all. all that we see some blood over people but no scary stuff.

this was definatly directed by a woman mini/rolleyes (I'm serious, check it out)

but for the rest it wasn't really horror i'm my opinion, just a LITTLE bit of triller. but for the rest it was a enjoyable FILM
