The Usual Suspects

Very intricate and complex plot, and outstanding ensemble acting. Overall, it was well worth the watch, but I'll definitely need to see it more than once.

Is that good? I've been considering seeing it, but I'm questioning it since I never heard of it before April.

I had no interest in seeing it, until I heard that it had an environmentally friendly message.

Then it immediately became a possible device of torture.

Though actually, it is true that preachy movies tend to suck.

This man speaks the truth.

Monsters vs. Aliens (or the other way around)

Pretty good flick, I guess. Had some funny moments. The plot was kind of predictable and dull, though. Also I wasn't quite satisfied with how some of the characters were implemented. I mean I know it's all goofy and all but one can only handle so many BOB-is-stoopid jokes.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Lucky, you got to see Star Trek early mini/sad ... OH, thats right, it has a limited relaese today in America! Hooray! Now if I can get tickets...

I can only handle so many fart jokes, or just really bad jokes, or just really, really over-used jokes, which is why I don't watch Dreamworks Animated Movies.

You don't like Flushed Away or Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of The Were Rabbit?!
Shame on you.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Wallace and Gromit is awesome

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I just watched The Set Up (1949) again and I STRONGLY recomend it. It is a great little Noir and it's a shame so few people have seen it.

I love this movie. It is AWESOME.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

STAR TREK

Star Trek is by far the best Sci-fi (space and aliens and stuff not the other forms of sci-fi) movie I've seen in years. Better than all the Star Wars Prequels, better than Pitch Black and just barely better than Serenity. While there were a few hokey parts to it (mindmeld tend to get that way...) it was a pretty good movie. A lot of people were able to get their lines in ("Damnit I'm a doctor, not a [insert job here]!", "I'm giving her all she's got!").
I was most impressed with Karl Urban performance. I think he had DeForest Kelley spot on, almost seemed like he was channeling the dead actor.

For the trekkies,

Spoiler (click to read)

They've changed the space time continuum in a very major way, the whole movie I kept waiting for them to fix it but they left it that way at the end and it basically removes something (very large) from the story of several future (timeline) movies and shows. But hey, this is Star Trek, there's going to be space time continuum changes every now and again. The other thing that bugged me was the whole Spock and Uhura thing...

Oh and the green skinned Orions were digitally altered to be green or it was really weird make-up... kinda bugged me...

Andrew Kramer made the titles, so that's okay.
