I currently use WMM for my editing, IT, IS , TERRIBLE 
. I've been looking at APE-7, but i'm not sure if it's such a great editor. Please give me feedback on this.

Yes, I recommend it. It's pretty easy and it has alot of features.
Before me and my brother got the Adobe CS4 Package, we used Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 and it was pretty decent (of course, now it's a fossil 
). I haven't ever used 7.0, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. And even now I'd rather use Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 than Windows Movie Maker. Go for it.

Yesh, it's good, and WMM isn't that bad, don't complain about free software, it's annoying.
