and turn you into a Live-Action film maker. mini/bigsmile
I'm sure you know of these guys already:

Indy Mogul has been around quite a long time, and finally I've started to take a look at it's tutorials. Through this past weekend I've probably watched about 70 BFX episodes and more. I am so addicted. I'm considering taking on Live-Action film making in between brickfilming, because of course I still have a deep love for animating as I'm sure you know. But we'll see, I'm going to make a test film next week and I want to see what you think.
What do you think of these guys?

There's lots of fun to be had in independant film making.

Almost anyone with a camera and a group of friends can put together a feature length film without spending a lot of money. The problem lies in that people are so accustomed to highly polished, big budget Hollywood films that they look at independent films as "rubbish" just because of the visuals.

A good story can go a long way. Nice lighting and a decent lens can be enough to put you ahead of 90% of other independents.

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

I found out about Indy Mogul ages ago via a podacst I listen to. It's got some great ideas and techniques.

I think IndyMogul is old news for a lot of people, haha. I've heard pretty awful things about their community, though.

No, I've known about them for a while, it's just I wasn't as interested in them until now. I didn't know they had such good stuff! mini/bigsmile
Speaking of good stuff, they made a new test film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIJvECLL … annel_page

Yes, I've been watching the Indy Mogul movies lately. Very good techniques for film making. You have to admire them.

I've also been watching one of their close counterparts, 99 Dollar Music Videos. They're not quite as gripping, but they do make you want to get up and make a cheap music video.
