THE BRAWL 2026 RESULTS ARE HERE!

The judges for BRAWL 2026 were:

The judging process worked as follows, each judge watched every film. After watching, each judge ranked their personal top 30 films. Each of the judge's lists were then run through a system that utilizes instant run-off voting to create a top fifteen reflective of all the judges. The judges then adjusted the top 25 list as a group until they were satisfied with the outcome.
Judges considered the following when watching the films: originality, production value (animation, set design, cinematography, sound, etc.), story, and creative interpretation of the theme. While the parts of the film were considered, the most important quality the judges looked for is how the film works as a whole.
Prizes

First place gets first pick, second place gets second pick, and third place gets the prize that’s left. Additionally, all the top 3 will receive a Blu-Ray copy of the Bricks in Motion Collection, which features nearly 30 classic brickfilms from the community!
Best Newcomer Award!
We decided to add a prize to recognize a newer brickfilmer! To qualify, it must be your first or second time entering BRAWL, and it won’t go to those who have been brickfilming for a long while, but are only entering BRAWL now. Also, if your entry places in the Top 15, you are not eligible for the Best Newcomer Award.

A Personal Announcement:
I chose the theme of “Close” very intentionally, and as was announced in the results livestream, I have now officially stepped down as host of BRAWL and as one of the co-admins of Bricks in Motion. I want to say congratulations to AeroNomad for taking my place as administrator! I know he will do an excellent job. The future host of BRAWL has not been chosen, but I wish them well.
There is no beef, no drama, no scandal, it was just time for me to step down. I want to say that hosting BRAWL since 2018 has been one of my proudest achievements in my life. Over 800 new brickfilms have been made since then, and it still astounds me how much creativity is poured into this contest each and every year. Thank you to all who have entered not just this year, but going back to 2018 as well.
I'll still be around on the Discord, but as a moderator. I joined Bricks in Motion is 2010 as a twelve-year-old, and this community will forever be incredibly special to me. I have literally grown up with this community, and I don't plan to leave altogether. I am incredibly excited to see what the future of Bricks in Motion will bring.
Thank you to the rest of Bricks in Motion staff, and thank you to Penta for being an amazing partner in everything, and one of my best friends. It has been an honor literally flying around the world, making fun videos and even discovering brickfilm history together. Along with BRAWL, what we've made together are some of my favorite things I've made in my life.
