It’s time for the RESULTS of THAC 2023!!!

Thanks to everyone for taking part and making this the biggest THAC ever with a total of 152 entries!!! Big thanks to the judges for helping me manage to get the results ready within 2 weeks. As we had so many entries this year, we decided to not only rank the Top 15 or 20, but the TOP 25!  However, don’t expect it to be the standard for future THACs or BRAWLs.

The judging process worked as follows, each judge watched every film. After watching, each judge ranked their personal top 25 films. Each of the judge's lists was then run through a system that utilizes instant run-off voting to create a top twenty-five reflective of all the judges (as all the judges had their own Top 25, there were far more than 25 entries on the overall list, prior to elimination). The judges then adjusted the top twenty-five list as a group until they were satisfied with the outcome.
Judges considered the following when watching the films: originality, production value (animation, set design, cinematography, sound, etc.), story, and creative interpretation of the theme. While the parts of the film were considered, the most important quality the judges looked for is how the film works as a whole.

The judges this year are:

Penta
Penta is one of the administrators of Bricks in Motion and of the Brickfilms Wiki. He is known for his History of Brickfilms video series, the Benny n' Lee series, and for Taco Trouble 2: The Trial. He is also a co-host of The World of Brickfilms Podcast.

Blandeer
Blandeer is the LAN Ambassador for Bricks in Motion, liaising with LEGO to organize our juicy contest prizes. In 2022, he released the exceedingly long-awaited Afro Driver. If you are lucky, you might also catch one of his very interesting livestreams.

BP
Bricks & Pieces (BP) is one of the admins of Brickfilm Day, where he is involved with organizing events and community project brickfilms. He has also contributed to top-10-placing entries to the last five BRAWL contests on Bricks in Motion.

Zach (MindGame)
MindGame is a longtime fixture of the community, with many notable films to his name including Stranger than Fishin', The Profession, The Cleaners, and films in the Ben and Andy series. He also holds the record for largest number of successful THAC entries (12), which date all the way back to the very first THAC in 2005.

Yetgo
Yetgo is an admin of both Brickboard and Brick à Brack. Her 2022 film The Time Ship won two prizes at the annual German brickfilm festival Steinerei.

LOTW Studios
LOTW Studios is the current host of THAC and host of the World of Brickfilms Podcast. He is most known for his App Man series and came 1st place in BRAWL 2021, with his entry The Tracker Tracked.

The LEGO Group via the LEGO® Ambassador Network, are very generously providing us with the prizes. A huge thank you goes out to them! The 1st place winner will have the choice to pick out of the 3, followed by the 2nd place winner, who chooses between the 2 remaining prizes, with the 3rd receiving the remaining prize.
