Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Sixth Sense

Wow. mini/eek That was good. The ending was fantastic. 5/5

Bolt

For a kids movie that was actually very enjoyable.

Monsters Vs. Aliens (I spent a few days with little kids)

Even for a little kids movie it was pretty lame. My favorite part was the beginning where it showed a detailed hamburger. Yep, it was that bad.

It was a good movie but I was in a theater filled with mexicans that spoke spanish throughout the whole movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Great Muppet Caper
Jim Henson is a genius. That's all I have to say.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Fast and Furious

Good action, some boring moments. 6/10

Billy Madison

Probably the stupidest movie ever, at least it was entertaining.

Stellet Licht (Silent Light)

Very slow (and I mean slow) film about Mennonites living in Mexico. I loved the cinematography; it captured the landscape so well. I still need to mull over the story a bit.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Die hard

Yes. watched it, loved it, gonna see number 2, 3 and 4 soon.

Fast and Furious

Watched it together with some friends. Liked it like all the others

Terminator 2: Judgement day

I was really gonna watch something else, but this was better.

I'm BACK! mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Slumdog Millionaire

Its such a different film, the cinematography, the editing, the pace, just everything is completely different, and that's why its amazing.

Definitely worth the Oscar's that it got. A great movie.

9/10

All films appear to look the same these days, which is a shame.

Goodfellas

Great film, very entertaining.

Monkeybone

After finally watching it, I think it's very underrated. I thought it was hilariously stupid. mini/lol

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Slumdog Millionaire

Wow, that was an amazing film. All I have to say is mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

There Will Be Blood
I'm very confused. It looks incredible, and it's entertaining, but very confusing.  I feel like I suck at critical analysis.

Slumdog Millionaire
Brilliant.

Monsters, Inc.
Loved it then, love it now.  I noticed a lot more cool things this time, like the incredible genius of the whole door system.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
I'll need to watch this one over again, I missed some of the subtitles.  I was multitasking.  Incredible fight scenes, though.

Dude, Where's My Car?
I noticed a few of the scenes in this film were shot about a block away from me across the street from my favorite diner.

Pokemon The Movie (on VHS!!!)
I need to kill the makers of this film.

Please do not kill Nintendo, for it's not their fault that this movie sucked.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Monsters vs. Aliens in 3d

I must say, I feel like 3d is overrated. It actually made it a bit difficult to concentrate on the film. Overall, it wasn't anything amazing. Visually, there was a lot of good stuff, but the story and mood needed a lot more work. The only good joke (in my opinion, obviously) was the "convenient truth" plug.

The huge action got boring very quickly. I mean, when you blow up San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge 40 minutes into the film, it's pretty much impossible to top that, so everything else is just tiring. After a huge explosion, every other explosion is just another explosion. The makers of the film apparently forgot what they were supposed to have learned about building tension. As a result, after the probe dies, I was left yawning, wishing the thing would end sooner.

And please, tell me you could have cooked up a better alien design?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I totally agree with your review, Leo. Like I said before, the opening scene with the hamburger was my favorite part.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Topkapi.

A really enjoyable heist film. It's been a while since I seen one but I decided to buy this after reading it was the inspiration for Mission Impossible one of my favourite TV shows (NEVER watch the films) and you can really see it. In a way it was like a Mission Impossible episode but villains being the heroes. In fact I noticed some similarities between this and episodes of Mission Impossible. The film has got that fun energy you rarely see any more. I don't know how to describe it but a lot of films from 60's have an energy which no other decade really has. Anyway it's an enjoyable film one you don't hear about a lot.
