I hope we get one.
That's the hope, though we'll probably reconsider some of the conventions (like the acronym based name and a very specific theme, perhaps timing.) I'd like to have some kind of annual contest though, similar to what we had back in the day. But yes, there won't be any major contest this year most likely.

I think that the abbreviation contests were a Brickfilms.com thing, but I expect that there will be a big contest or two.

I'd love to help out with an annual contest here like we did on bf. But the chances of doing one this year is probably unlikely since it's already April, and those contests usually start at around February.
I would expect a contest after the site is complete,or at least has a film directory.I think completing the site should be the top priority,and contests should come second.
I could organize a contest, but I couldn't do the prizes on my $0 budget.
There is actually a pretty long to-do list for developing this website (*checks off logo redesign*) but the Film Directory is the main priority at the moment. That having been said, we might have an opportunity for a small official contest this summer, it just wouldn't make sense to go for a large-scale one given we haven't already made an announcement to give people time. In the near future we should have enough advert revenue to buy the rather expensive prizes promised for the TEC contest, which I'm still determined to do my best to honor.
FAR = Friendships and Rivalries, FIG = Fame, Infamy and Glory, IDEA = Inventions, Discoveries and Extraordinary Achievements, TEC = Technical Excellence Competition.
I could possibly host another AIM this summer.
I'm still waiting for the return of BRAWL. That was actually an awesome contest.
