Topic: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

https://i.imgur.com/MK44MTJ.png
45 years ago, Lars and Henrik Hassing created the first ever brickfilm En Rejse til Månen, or Journey to the Moon in English. To celebrate this milestone, I am planning a timeline video, showcasing some of the greatest brickfilms ever made, some well known to the community, and some lesser known ones too. I have compiled a list of brickfilms that I wish to add to the video, but I would love to get the community involved. Below is the list of all the brickfilms which I plan to add to the video, but if there's a particular video that you love, that isn't included on the list and you consider a masterpiece, let me know, and I'll add it to the list. Note that I don't just mean brickfilms that you really like, but rather what you consider some of the greatest brickfilms of all time, or have some historical significance. I will want to start editing the video soon, so I'll want a complete list of brickfilms by Thursday the 1st of February to hopefully complete to celebrate International Brickfilm Day, which will take place on Saturday the 10th of February!

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

Aladibababad definitely needs to be in there.

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

I can't believe I forgot that one! That'll definitely go on the list mini/bigsmile

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

Jewel Quest from 2000 would be good to represent something that was included with the LEGO Studios set. Some other classics that come to mind that would work well visually are Fell in Love with a Girl (2002), Rise of the Empire (2002), Dr. Jobs (2005), Little Guys! (2007), Hastings (2007) and 8-bit trip (2009). Also something from the Nightly News at Nine series, which has many great visual sequences to pick from. The Call of Farqunglu would also be a high tier one from 2012.

I know there are a few on the list and I don't know how much you could fit due to time, but it would be good to pick some that aren't on that top level of classic, too. Kind of hard to recommend since that's more subjective.

There's a brickfilm Horace Wimp video!?

Han Solo Affair (2002)

My first introduction to brickfilms. Always stuck with me as one of my favorites.

Here are a few brickfilms that I think are worthy of being here:
Hold the lines: operation cobra (2017) https://youtu.be/949tS4ygZSw
Coffee & carnage (2014) http://dailymotion.com/video/x21fb5p
Monsters from the ID (2005) https://youtu.be/pFozSTPx0r0
Can't wait for this! mini/delirium

I second this, Han Solo Affair was the first brickfilm that I ever saw as a child.

I would also like to suggest:

Odoriferous (2013)
That's the Way it Goes! (2014)
Paint. (2015)

Fixed!
By the way, we defitnely need to have something made by annoying noises on the list, I feel like his "style" has influenced many brickfilmers.

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

Wow, this is great! Seeing a lot of great suggestions. I've got so many on the list now, that I've decided to split the video into 2 videos. The first part will be from 1973-2006, and part 2 will be from 2007-present day! By the way, I'm swapping Spoilerz with Feel Great, as I've already included Nathan Wells' Beast for 2006, and I wanted to include Mindgame!

I was discussing that with Penta last night. I think I might include We the Pumpikns Three.

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

By the way, this is a great idea! Being still relatively new to brickfilming, trying to catch up on the entire brickfilm history is a daunting task, so to get a peek at the history would be really good, and I think inspire some of us to check out some of the interesting clips of films we haven't discovered yet!

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

Star Wars: The Great Disturbance by Leftfield Studios (2004)

Re: 45 Years - A World of Brickfilms

Batman: Revenge (2003), the first Batman brickfilm. That's gotta account for something. Especially since it was released before LEGO even got the Batman license.

I always thought that the first level of LEGO Batman: The Videogame was a nod to it: Riddler's Revenge.

Yes, yes, and yes. That one definitely deserves to be in the list.
