Re: Legolord Productions Asks

Not everyone needs a script, especailly if it's short,. low on dialogue, or you're doing the dialogue yourself or ad libbing.  When you seek outside voice talent, you should have one for them even if the other conditions apply.  But if you're comfortable wigthout one, that's fine.  I never ever storyboard and although my brickfilms are long (20+ minutes), my mind is extremely visual and for some reason, as I write my script, I have the ability see in my mind exactly how each scene/cut is to look. All I have to do is read the script and the picture is there for me.

Same for me too! Although I do storyboard anyway on those rare occasions where I'm not feeling lazy as it can sometimes help to put down anything that you really want to look a certain way so you don't forget and by drawing the scene it can in some scenarios point out any problems that may occur.

Re: Legolord Productions Asks

If you mean do we record all of the brickfilms we make and the process of making them, then yes, but only recently for the latter.

No, not that, what I mean is that if you have made history by recording what you've accomplished (ex. First Video uploaded - ??/??/????)

Re: Legolord Productions Asks

I try to employ a new technique in each brickfilm I do. The goal is to challenge myself to expand my techniques, and add each technique to the repertoire that becomes standard for future brickfilms.
So I keep a running list of all my brickfilms and what new technique(s) I've employed in each one.

The Voyage            First Brickfilm, Compositing
Changing of the Guard    Rig removal
Fooled                Incorporating Live Action, "Original" Score
Ronny's Day            Theatrical lighting (3 point with colored gels), More elaborate set design, studied character walk, 24P
Ma Vie                Written script, digitally altered minifig face (blink)
Chuck Norris Bedtime    Onscreen source light LED
Bone Fone            Dragonframe, Full Digital Face Replacement, rotating setpiece

So for example, after figuring out a unique walk for Ronny with his heavy armor, I tried to make that a thing that I do more often, like the beach walk in Ma Vie and Shaggy's sneak walk in the Count Drakeula thing.

Yeah, pratically its hard to get famous as an independent animator on youtube, you either need to be famous or failed trying these days. And as far as how YouTube functions, these tend to get people's attention:
-Clickbait
-Dank Memes
-Gaming
-Pranks
-And some others

Re: Legolord Productions Asks

I have two series planned for the first quarter of 2018.
One is a series which will be released in February, which I will announce as the time approaches.
The other is a longer form thing that I will probably release in parts as each scene is completed.

Re: Legolord Productions Asks

This next question might seem controversial, especially since YouTube did this

What would you do if you've been subscribed to a brickfilmer on youtube, but they haven't posted anything for years and had been terminated for that and other problems?
