Topic: The Great Flower Robbery Production Log

I'm very proud to announce that my latest film and Spring Blossoms entry "The Great Flower Robbery" is officially underway! You can find the script in my pre-production log. Here's a behind the scenes image and a snapshot from the first scene:

To get the wire into the lamp I had to build a technic brick into the wall and hide it behind the couch. Then I ran it through it and up lamp post (that was a lot harder than it sounds!) as shown here.

Then I put a transparent yellow brick over the light to create the lamp bulb and make the light yellow.

It's a very coarse, non slip, fabricy material that's meant to keep cutting boards from moving when cutting foods. It does not budge! If you stick it underneath the baseplate it's as sturdy, if not more sturdy, than tape. That saves time and money on tape!

Wow, a very unique solution! I use blu-tac for sticking my bases down, the only problem that occurs is that the edge of the baseplates curve up slightly, but seeing s I have never shown the corners in a shot of any of my brickfilms so far, it hasn't been a problem mini/smile

Also, do you use Brickstuff or LifeLites?

The Canon EOS Rebel XS and a Nikon AF 35-80mm f/4-5.6D Zoom lens via a Fotodiox lens mount adapter.

Great! How did you do it? I've been wanting to know for a while if there is a certain way and/or a specific piece of software that is required. Care to shed any light on the subject?

A tutorial will be available on my Youtube channel tomorrow. I used Cyberlink Power Director 14. I think you can use any version from 12 after though. Some version of Power Director should come pre-installed on an HP. There's also this for Windows and Mac. It's $40 and it says you can do split screen here. I might be using that in the future.

I'm using Papagayo and Glueface. The creators' site is closed but I've uploaded it and you can download it here. I've also included a bunch of their mouth sets which are now erased because of the site's closing. You're going to need Java and Papagayo. Tutorials for Papagayo and Glueface are available here and here.
