Of course, as the screenwriter, I'm very excited too!  You've done magic with lighting.

I'd like to underline that this project would have not started at all without your screenplay! Thank you mini/bigsmile

Re: The Nine Billion Names of God (Sci-fi written by HoldingOurOwn)

New entry!

This is a set I really enjoyed building, an I also enjoyed filming in it afterwards, even if the scene was quite short. It was the first time I shot the interior of an airplane.
Here are a few frames:

When building the set, I wanted to make sure the lighting is realistic, and I've used those same lights that were in the previous set for the roof-lighting.

I turned off every single other light in the room, and that's why you cannot see through the plane windows all the debris.

That's it for now! There could be some more future posts, e.g. the airport scene, of which I really would like to share the solutions as for lighting.

Very soon I will start the Casting Call! I hope there will be many great entries!

I so very much enjoy the story of your animation process, especially your attention to the lighting.  It's something I never consider, as I don't have the money or space for anything but the two lights I use.

Thank you, but I'd like to clarify that the lights I used for the scenes aren't expensive at all. If I recall, it all costed me under 10€ (11$). It's a very basic modelling light system with an adapter, connected to a normal socket. I know brickstuff is being used by most (never looked up how much it costs) but I'm pretty sure I found an inexpensive solution. And I just had to walk to a nearby electric lighting store.

Just a quick update. Principal photography has been completed for a few weeks, and nothing much happenned, as I've worked most on photography of my other parallel work, Day of Vengeance.
Soon the Casting call for the voices will be made. I am optimistic for a release around the first weeks of June.

I must say these are some spectacular shots. Very keen eye to lighting and detail.

The film is officially in Post Production now. I might give a few updates as for the release of a trailer and of the film itself soon on this page, but I won't post production pics, I'd like to keep some things under wraps until the release.

So glad to hear it! I am really looking forward to the finished product!

Re: The Nine Billion Names of God (Sci-fi written by HoldingOurOwn)

Sorry to double post. But when do you plan on releasing the film? I am looking forward to seeing it!

I'd like to showcase it as soon as possible too! The resson I still haven't is because not all voice actors have yet sent me the lines, unfortunately, and that doesn't allow me to complete sound post production. mini/confused

How many more voices do you need to receive (just the number is what I request, not the names)?

Re: The Nine Billion Names of God (Sci-fi written by HoldingOurOwn)

It is with deep sorrow that I announce that I'll be taking over the voice acting for George, due to extensive delays. The film will be out in the next couple of days.

Re: The Nine Billion Names of God (Sci-fi written by HoldingOurOwn)

LegoStudiosP, if you can have the paritence to make one more casting call, if you wish, to see if anyone else wants to take this opportunity.  We've all waited a while for this; a few more days won't hurt.  Of course, it's your decision, but it's just a suggestion.
