What?  I'm flattered to have won this prize!  My only lament is that the prize wasn't inspiration for more challengers.  Just as the animation challenge helps brickfilmers improve their animating skills, this challenge would be a great way to practice writing great stories!

The new topic hasn't been chosen yet, but... the prize will be a DVD copy of Holding Our Own: The Complete Second Episode.  If you only experienced the brickfilm, you're missing out on a lot of additional material.   Sharing a commentary track with BiM's awesome Mary Charles, for instance, is but one of many extras!  Watch this space, as I want to think of a theme that's broad yet though-provoking.

Looking forward to writing for this new theme, is there a deadline to this edition?

In respect to fairness and openness, that should be disclosed now that the event is over.  I leave it to Remnant Media to post the URL of the screenplay.  It was very good, by the way, and made the decision difficult, which is usually the case.

By the way, the theme DREAMS was inspired by the season 8 episode of MASH of the same name.  The medics were overworked operating on a larger then usual number of wounded, and they became sleep deprived.  Everyone slept in short shifts and the episode explored the dreams that haunted their sleep, one character at a time.  I always wanted to do a side project animating each dream segment in Lego.  One day, maybe.

It's in celtX format.  i actually converted from celtX to html for evaluation because I have pet peeves with Celtx's formatting, including not properly positioning character names.

Remember that the screenplays should be available to see publicly. If OneDouglass approves, I propose a new rule that if a screenplay is submitted early, it at least must be published publicly on the forum directly or by link within 24 hours of the end of the challenge.
