Topic: The Adventures of Jane - Production Topic

All right 2016 a new year woot! With a new year comes a new project, well a project that I've started at the end of 2015 mini/lol. So for my next project I'm working on The Adventures of Jane.

I wanted to tackle a space opera film of my very own and got inspiration from 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's a smaller project, but I really wanted to push my skills in cinematography as well as animation. I'm about halfway done with animation so here's some of what I have so far. It's been a while...but I'm somewhat back in the meanwhile. Had to finish up school and stuff sorry about that. Almost done just a couple more weeks mini/lol ! Right now I'm doing a rewrite of the script. I'm finding it hard to stay with the story I want to tell so in the mean time I'm doing a rewrite and hopefully it will be done before the summer begins. Fingers crossed:D

Pretty cool.  I wrote my own space opera around the pink astronaut, Galactic Girl minifigure from collectible series 6.

Are you restarting animation? Or just keeping what you have and finishing?

So far I'm keeping some of the animation I started with, other than that I'm starting over. I didn't get too far in the animation stage so it's no problem.

Finally after some time, I've finished storyboarding! Off to set building and designing minifigures! Hopefully I can start filming by this weekend. Fingers crossed mini/XD

Looks nice! You did a great job lighting up the lady's face while still keeping her in the shadows. How did you manage that?
I really like the sharp line between light and dark, but I feel the alien should be sitting a bit further from the dividing line.
The framing may be a tad off, but the lighting really makes this pop.

Thank you so much. Yeah I had the light tilted away from the set a little more so I could get a good shape around the alien and keep it dark in the background. The lady was just approaching the light so I was able to focus on her and she was focus.

It's Adobe Premiere. This particular screenshot is from its use on a Mac, but it's available for both operating systems.
