The build of this set is really interesting. There's parts that are upside-down and rightside-up and going every which direction, but it all looks consistent. I also think the design really nails "lived in universe" look that Star Wars is known for.

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

I just got Tower Bridge, Town Hall, Escape from the Dragon's Prison, and some other random parts today from one of my sister's friends for free. mini/bigsmile
Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.

The Third Arrival is out now!

Micro Fighters, Robin versus bane. Though, I parted it out and sold everything except the minifigs on bricklink, haha.

Those micro fighters are awesome! And Robin is my favorite one yet (with the possible exception of that sarcastic looking Spider-Man).

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

I recently bought the Pirates chess set, because LEGO put it on sale. It's a really great source of bricks, especially if you have a desire for many pirate and soldier minifigs.

This is the last one I got. It's really good for brickfilming.

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

For me, it would be the Microfighter Wookie Gunship, although just before I managed to get my hands on a lot of Lego Studios sets at good prices mini/smile

Didn't one of those studio sets have a camera?

Yes, the Steven Spielberg Movie Maker Set (1349), which I am now the proud owner of mini/sunnies

I also got 1382 Scary Laboratory, 1381 Vampire Crypt, 1351 Backdrop Studio, as well as some of the smaller sets such as 1355, 1356, 1357, 1383, 4073, 4074, 4075 and 4079. Still trying to hunt down the last few Studio sets that I want (those being 1380 Werewolf Ambush, 1352 Explosion Studio, 1353 Car Stunt Studio and 1354 Dino Head Attack mini/lol)

eBay may have some good deals on those sets. What's the camera quality? For the one included.

eBay is where I've been getting them from, and I was lucky enough to have been searching for them at the time of the Lego Batman Movie, where there had been an increase in Studios sets available. Unfortunately, there have been very few recently, and the postage costs are too high for my liking to get things from places abroad like America mini/confused

The camera quality isn't good, so it's not useful for animating with, although to be fair it was made over 15 years ago mini/lol

However, it is still quite cool to have, and I was surprised to see that along with the set you are given a big booklet on animating tips and tricks, some of which are quite useful, especially if you are fairly new to animating mini/smile

What program do you use for filming and editing?

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

I used to use Stop Motion Studio, Videoshop, Pyro Movie FX and SaberFX when I was animating with a phone, however now that I am starting to use a camera (Canon 700D) I will be using Dragon Frame, Adobe After Effects, Hitfilm 4 Express, Audacity and a Blue Snowball iCE USB microphone mini/smile

P.S. If you would like to continue this discussion, it may be worth talking about it in a more relative thread mini/smile

My latest LEGO sets are 6852 Sonar Security, 6813 Galactic Chief, and 6897 Rebel Hunter, all from Space Police II. These sets have started my old space collection, as well as given me my first pre-Adventurers torso mold and original LEGO head. mini/smile

I got that one too. Plus this one - PunBB bbcode test

Both are full of most needed (to me) parts and the minifigs are awesome.

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

Bought some Fist Order + Rebel battle packs recently, going to use them in some of my upcoming brickfilms mini/smile

I have also finally retrieved my Lego Creator set that I won in a competition (bit late for the Creator redbrick contest, but still mini/tongue). It's the 31048 Lakeside Lodge, which has quite a few very useful plates, more windows as well as some more slopes for roofs and finally one of those Lego doors! (I have never had one before, and I've always wanted one).

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

In April I visited a LEGO store which was kinda cool, got a large pic-a-brick cup, a pack of build-a-minifigs, and 40237 easter egg hunt. (unfortunately I didn't' get the valentines set before it sold out)

Just today I found Series 17 CMFs in my wal-mart, and bought the ones that I liked and/or wanted for parts. mini/smile

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

Yeah, I found them in a local shop at the end of April and bought one (managed to correctly feel for my favourite of the new series - the retro space guy mini/bigsmile) but couldn't find them in a Lego shop. I asked where they were and said that they weren't coming out until May 1st, and anywhere selling them beforehand were breaking company guidelines mini/lol

So I guess I was one of the first people in England to get one of the new CMF's  mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last LEGO set you got?

I just picked up four Series 17 CMFs, and got the Connoisseur, the Circus Strongman, the Corn Cob Guy, and the Hot Dog Vendor.
