Topic: Grain Problems

well I just got done with a beautiful and complicated shot and when I saved it to an AVI and opened it into my editing software it came out grainy mini/madhead I really don't want to re-shoot the scene and I need tips on getting the shot to look less grainy in post production. the software that I think would come in handy and the ones that I think you guys would tell me to use for this problem are "VirtualDub", "Windows Movie Maker", and "MPEG_Streamclip".

Re: Grain Problems

I don't think you can get rid of grain. You might have to reshoot it with more light.

Re: Grain Problems

I think there's a plug-in somewhere for VirtualDub that gets rid of grain, or at least reduces it.
