Topic: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

I think this is the right forum for this thread, if not, moderators feel free to move it.

Anyway, I remember this thread back on Refugee Camp, so I thought we could do it again.

These are the rules:
One person must post a frame (I'll do that first) then other members must post a remake of it in LEGO bricks (Or if you want, MegaBloks). The judge decides the winner after 1 week. The judge must judge all of the entries in order, from first to last. You must make your frame as much like the original movie frame as possible.

I think that's simple enough.

I'll start with an easy one from "Mall Cop".

So, let's see some movie frame LEGO duplicates!

Wait, I dont get it. Is it a stop motion, or simply a vignette?

Persist.

If you're only supplied a single frame, it's safe to assume you're only recreating that frame.

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

I like the idea of re-creating memorable scenes from films. The advantage of doing just one frame is, that you can put all your effort into it, work on details, and so on. And, of course, it's much less work.

But I also like the idea of re-making a whole scene... as, for example, I just did in my Dark Knight Montage clip. Here, the problem is that it is a lot of work AND you may get tired seeing the whole scene over and over again. Also, the time would need to be much longer than just one week.

Anyways, I may join this sometime.

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

That doesn't look like an easy one, imo. That would be an intricate set to build.

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

would this be simpler?

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

Y'know what, that frame is kind of hard. I'll get an easier one:

(Sorry MM, but I think it's the judges decision of the frame, you can't really just go on ahead and do it without approval.)

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

Does this frame have to be from Mall Cop? Couldn't you do a more memorable movie?

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

That's harder than the first.

Re: Recreate Movie Scenes in LEGO

Hey, I like MM's version. I think he re-made the scene very good.... background, set design (although the coloured bricks on the wall do not seem to fit very well) are good. But now we need one frame to stay... if everyone posts a new frame then, there will soon be chaos.
