Topic: New camera
I'm looking for a new camera because my old one died. What would you suggest? I'm looking at Nikon Coolpix L340.
Have any of you ever used it? would it work for stop motion?
Thanks.

I haven't used that one, but the one I have is a c920. It is excellent and has completely changed the way I animate for the better. I think most Brickfilmers on BIM use it, and it is brilliant.
A webcam is probably a good option for you. I would also recommend the Logitech C920. It's under $100 (sometimes well under, if you can find it for a good price), and has really great quality.

Thanks, but I'm not able to use a webcam.
To be honest with you, it doesn't have to be some uber expensive DSLR or webcam. It could be a cheap digital camera. I would look for cheap ones, with reasonably good quality. Also make sure they have manual settings, those are very important.
I'm not sure if I should get the one I had before because it died but I might.
I am looking at the camera and it does not look like you can get live frame capture, why can't you use a webcamera? are you just animating away from a computer?
Yep. I found one that I think will work for my needs.
