He wouldn't stop making jokes about rape in the chat room last night and was banned for it, hence the recent post. I agree with him that he might be better off taking a break for a couple years if he feels he doesn't belong here right now, this kind of behavior has been a recurring problem and it benefits nobody for him to stick around as long as that kind of thing persists.
Hey Guys.
I've been getting the impression lately that people are getting fed up with me, and don't really like me. So, I've decided to take a break from BiM for a couple years. Good luck everyone.
All the best,
Noah Tharp Kees
What makes you say that?

I wasn't aware about the chat room activity.

Ah, I didn't see that there was another page of posts. My bad.
While a break is probably a good idea, a couple of years seems fairly harsh. I don't know what the ban limitations are, but I think just play it by ear, judge time as it progresses. It's always possible to recover from a mistake (disclaimer: within the context of internet forums), it just takes time, and an effort to earn back trust (as from the sound of it, the posts were highly inappropriate). That could be a couple of years, it could be a lot sooner. This is just from my experience of, well, people and teh interwebs.

Yeah, I wasn't aware of what happened either, until Smeagol posted.
He isn't actually listed as being banned, so I think this is his own decision to leave rather than an "official" ban. Judging by what Smeagol said I'm guessing he was banned from the chat room, which isn't necessarily an automatic ban from the site itself. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up again sooner than "a couple of years". Though, given the nature of his posts and his behaviour on the site in general, it's hard to say. Still, the fact that he's self-aware enough to realise that such behaviour isn't liked or generally tolerated on the site is a big step in the right direction.

Hello! Haven't seen you around in a while.

This thread is so well-established, I want to mention to people who are younger that "Café Corner" is the first Lego Modular Set, and it was released almost a decade ago!
wow time goes by fast I didn't realize they started modulars that long ago,
It's been quite a success, get yours now on amazon for $2,449.14

by the way, on the first page of this thread there are posts about an April fools prank involving Playmobil, what exactly was that, and is there anywhere I can read it?
I got the Cafe Corner when it came out, but I disassembled it a while ago. Now I sort of wish I had just left it in the box.
The first modular building I got was the Green Grocer, back in 2010. I still have it assembled in a proud, albeit dusty, state, atop on a shelf in my bedroom. I collected every modular since that one until I had to stop after the Town Hall, since I unfortunately ran out of room on my shelf, amongst other things.
Coincidentally I was browsing some of the new(ish) modular buildings earlier today, and really liking the look of the Brick Bank and Detective's Office in particular.
The problem I often find with modulars is that they look absolutely stunning when built (and are pretty much collector's items), yet they have so many amazing pieces that I feel tempted to disassemble them for their parts. I always want to get two of each model--one for the display, and one for the parts...

Off topic yes, but I just wanted to say I'm glad to see that this site is will going. It was a huge part of my pre teen and early teenage years! If any of ye oldies remember me, hi!

And funny enough I haven't spoken Irish in about 3 years!
I wasn't around when you were active, Stoteh but it's always pretty neat to see old brickfilmers emerge from the shadows.
CBS`s Supergirl and Cw`s The Flash are doing a crossover.
Hmm...
I'd like to get the green grocer. I discovered the modular series just as GG was discontinued. I think I called LEGO to order it 2 or 3 days after the last one sold.
Funmi, that X-over will be well anticipated. I love both series.
And this, kids, is why you don't attempt to create your own Paganopuppet using mini ball sockets and LDD.
I don't see why people shouldn't make Pagano Puppets on LDD... But the miniball looks horrifying.
