I don't know about fantastic, but you guessed correctly.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Here's a frame from the short I'm working on. I find it funny out of context (and maybe in context).

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

That's a great looking shot backyardlegos, although if I had framed it I might have went for a more centered minifig or more to the left, but it could make more sense in context.

The short clip has been released. Check it out on the release forum.
This frame was my favourite shot to do.

This is my favorite frame from my latest animation. This entire sequence was so much fun to do!

Looks like something very imaginative, Geouug.

Here's one from a scene I recently finished.

Here's a frame from my next film:

This is pretty much my first attempt at forced perspective, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Undershadow, I think you did a really good job with the forced perspective, although I think you could make the effect a little more apparent by cropping out the out-of-focus part at the bottom, because in real life that's not how cameras usually focus. I think the wide-screen frame is also a little more natural looking, so the effect isn't quite as noticeable. Something like this maybe?

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Here are a few stills from a scene that I worked on recently.  Brent is in a collectible shop buying a gift for Missy!  The white and pink rectangle is the gift.

A few more images from that scene can be "scene" here, including some information on the shooting:

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

nice. I like the way the guy sitting is sitting in the first one.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Oh, actually, he's standing, reading the register.  That yellow piece behind him may look like a chair but it's just a 2x2 tile used to represent a flyer.  I guess it does look like an interesting seating position in a chair, though!

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

That looks nice. Very sharp.

I do not brickfilm anymore, but you can see my live action stuff here.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Really nice, CookedCat I really love both frames. The composition and colouring in both is really good. I realise this is Showcase a Frame, and not Critique a Frame, but I would still like to add that I thought the first frame has a bit of 'empty space' at the top. Don't get me wrong, I really like the frames and I am not saying you should change it as it is your choice. I just noticed the first frame has a bit more empty wall at the very top of the frame than I thought necessary. The light, coming from a presumed second floor, appearing on the wall attracts my eyes to the top of frame which I, personally, found distracting from the characters. Sorry to type a fairly long message to only talk about my nit-picking of the first frame. I really enjoy your work and I hope you show us more frames.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

yeah, I agree, it is still to have letter-boxing added. which does away with that entirely...

thanks for the positive guys!

Might show more frames, might... the first one is the only frame from that shot ready, the rest involves a CGI face speaking, and then parented onto a cylinder.....

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Ah, letter-boxing will look good.
You've made me interested in your "CGI face". How do you plan of getting it to look as realistic as possible? I understand the process behind it, but I am just curious how you'll do it. Hopefully I am not hijacking the thread here.

Re: Showcase a Frame! (new rules)

Found this on my computer the other day.
The frame comes from a not-quite finished project called "Robbin' Hood."
It has some neat shots in it, so I'm planning to get it into a releasable state one of these days.

And yes, I'm still working on that Star Wars thing. I haven't given it the priority that it deserves, so it'll be a bit yet.
Sorry guys.
