This discussion is getting way off topic (any moderators reading this?) and should be split out, but some products do something called a directory scan where your camera dumps an image into a directory and the stop mo software detects that and imports it.
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a Mac user with a Logitech webcam?
If you're willing to shell out a few bucks, I would recommend iStopmotion. It's simple and easy to use. You should also check out Webcam Settings which will allow you to have full manual control over your Logitech webcam.
