Topic: Connecting Canon 700d to FrameByFrame

Hi all,

I've been trying to connect the Canon 700D (a camera I am fairly new to) to the frame capture software FrameByFrame. Doesn't seem to be working. The problem is that once the camera is plugged into the Mac via usb, and FrameByFrame is open, the 700D isn't presenting itself as an option for video input. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Are the two incompatible?

Thanks

Re: Connecting Canon 700d to FrameByFrame

When I look at FrameByFrame it says it works with web cameras, if you want to use a DSLR you will have to use frame capture that supports that.

Boinx iStopMotion lists the 700D as a supported camera, at $50 it looks alright, although I feel like I have heard about some stablility issues, you would have to ask around, and it has a 5 day trial licence.

Dragonframe is always the best option, but at $300 it is to expensive for many people.
