I probably need to clean my desktop up. mini/sweat
I have too much random junk and too many programs I don't use. I might uninstall a few steam games for extra space. lol

I found you on steam Sonjira. mini/cat

I like your background Sonjira, I like it a lot. And 1011Ev, you've got some good steam games there.

One thing that always triggers a small annoyance within me when looking at desktops on Windows is those little arrows on the bottom left hand corners of apps. It totally ruins the aesthetics of the icon, and doesn't seem nessisary. mini/confused

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

I spy your desktop picture on your desktop, Ev.
DESKTOPCEPTION.

There's already a thread for this here, but it hasn't been posted in since 2011.

I really need to change my desktop.
I've had my current one ever since I got this laptop I'm typing on right now.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

Haha thanks Carousel, most of them were on sale, given to me, or free. mini/XD

You know you like it Minifig. mini/wink
I seriously save anything and everything to my desktop, I think I'm gonna clear it up.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

I only save my most used programs or any file that I will need quick access to in the near future to my desktop. On my old computer, virtually everything was saved to my desktop, and I found it really annoying to have my desktop cluttered.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment, Carousel!

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

Well, this isn't entirely accurate, as I have about 8 Lego LOTR posters/pics that it scrolls though, but this is my favorite.
And yes, I use a two-monitor set-up, which is why the background got duplicated.

The backgrounds are all stolen kindly borrowed from the official Lego website.
Most are from the Lego LOTR and Hobbit website's teaser pages.

Anyway, programs are:
Printer software, Dropbox, Skype (Never used) Recycle Bin, Gamestop, Microsoft Office, Kindle, Steam (rarely used) Blender, LDD, Pov-Ray, Helium Frog, LDD-to-POV-Ray, GIMP, Webcam software, Audacity, Adobe Reader (Forgot to delete that last clean-up.) and Avast.

The background is from a recent photoshoot my bro and I did for our new band, I'm on the right. A little narcissistic I know, but oh well.

Well, I like how it's mostly open space so I can see my icons clearly (although there are only two columns of them on the far left), but I'm getting a little tired of the picture.

Whatever I replace it with, I would like something that doesn't have much going on in general, especially on the left side.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

I was tempted to flip the picture and send it to you. mini/XD

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

Out of the rest of these, Sonjira's is best.

I like to keep my desktop very clean so that I can appreciate what ever background I have.  I used to change it all the time, but after getting this one, it's been the same for several months, besides a few short times.  I just can't use any other wallpaper because it's too good.

Whenever I see a cluttered desktop it just looks so wrong to me.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

Here's one of my current wallpapers. I always have them on "slideshow" so that they change every hour or so. The theme I've been using recently is Battlefield 3 and this wallpaper is from one of my favorite maps, Operation Metro. I'll have to show you all my MLP wallpapers sometime. mini/cat

Boom. Headshot.

Re: The Post Your Desktop Thread

Bump.

I feel a bit bad for bumping such an old topic, but today I got a new laptop.  It's the first time I've ever gotten a brand-new computer of my own, so I felt that I should mark the occasion in a fitting manner.

The laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad W550s.  OS is Windows 7 Professional, although I've signed up for the upgrade to Windows 10.

Since I've just gotten it, there aren't too many programs on it yet (currently downloading Steam games olol) but I've been busy downloading/installing stuff for most of the day.

Also, now that I have a laptop I'll be able to get a proper frame software capture program, which is really neat (I'm thinking DragonFrame, though it's rather a bit expensive).

It's a 2008 MacBook Pro. While I'm at my animating desk I have it connected to an old Dell monitor which is why it's right now at a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The desktop picture is a frame from one of the clips from my unreleased footage video. It's also my wallpaper on my iPhone.

I never ever use my dock, so normally I hide the dock. I prefer to use launch pad. For this photo I showed the dock for really no reason at all, but we have from left to right the following applications:

Finder, Launchpad, Mission Control, Safari, System Preferences, The Etch-a-Sketch simulator game I made, and Feedback Assistant. The apps after that are not usually in the dock, but because they're open, they're in the dock: Skype, and iStopMotion 3.6
