I have recently found a chromed/gold vent like brick in my collection. I have absolutist no idea where it came from but it looks cool. Does anybody know where I could find more? Or what sets it may have come from? I have a lot of old lego sets so it could be from those.

Try a site like Bricklink. Looks like they haven't been in sets for a while.
Same with chrome gold. Seems to be the chrome colours for this piece were in the old space range.

Sorry, I had to. That's an interesting piece ya got there. I don't think I've ever had one of the liking.
It is very cool looking, I'm looking forward to getting some to build with.

I have those chrome gold pieces! It's from MOS ESPA POD RACE, way back from the beginning of Lego Star Wars!
Look for it on Gasgano's Green pod!
I used this piece on the ambulance in Holding Our Own episode 2!

I believe that is the set it is from! This photo makes me believe I have this set, in pieces of course. Everything in the picture looks familiar, and I bet I could re-build it. I have discovered a lot of the old sets I have over the past few years, by looking at lego's online instructions. This definitely is one I own.
I have several of those from that and Titan XP (2004 Creator set). Really cool pieces, and i should take advantage of them more. I used several of them in my custom Batmobile.
I have a good number of them. Found them in random brick lots and some of the old train sets used them quite a bit.
If indeed the Mos Espa set is where you got this piece, I'm glad to put your mind at ease!
I think I had one of these pieces from one of those small car sets they used to sell. I can't remember the name of the theme, but they were pretty cool.
Edit: Actually, I just found it! It was called "Power Racer" from the Tiny Turbos range.
