Topic: Holding Our Own Episode 3 Trivia Contest

Hi.  I'm giving away an alpha deck of the HOLDING OUR OWN CARD GAME for free!  Only four alpha decks exist and only four ever will exist!

The Holding Our Own Card Game is a four-player Euchre-styled game that allows players (in teams of two) to engage in "arguments" with each other.  This 52-card deck includes:

  • Cover card
    3 rules cards
    2 decks of 24 Holding Our Own cards
    2 collectible cards featuring 8 stills from Holding Our Own: Episodes 1 through 4.

TO ENTER: All you have to do is answer the following questions about Holding Our Own: Episode 3, as accurately as possible.  The reader with the most correct answers wins!  In a tie, the first to submit the correct answers is the winner!  Be careful; some of these are really tough.

1) Who did Melissa see in church whom she wished to avoid seeing?
2) What was the name of the Schneider's satellite company?
3) Which Bill Maher guest swayed Brent to watch the show?
4) What color are the two items at the register counter in the general store?
5) What does D.W.S. stand for?
6) Which character says, "Bromance"?
7) Two of the aliens in "Holding Our Own: Episode 3" have names.  Name one of them.  Spelling counts.  (Hint: answering this question requires some extra-cirricular research.)

Sounds cool, but I think something like this could go in the Cafe Corner thread, or the Community forum in general. Seems like a lot more people over there would care, seeing as that thread is a lot more active.

I disagree, this does not need to go in Cafe Corner. And since this contest is generally about a film, it belongs in General film discussion.

By the way, these are the correct answers to the questions:

1) Who did Melissa see in church whom she wished to avoid seeing?
     A) Carleigh (spelling didn't count.)  She is named in episode 2.

2) What was the name of the Schneider's satellite company?
     A) Dish Network.  The only way to solve this question is figure out the number being called by working out the touch tones on your phone, and find out that Brent/Melissa/Angela dial 1-800-333-3474, then doing an online reverse telephone directory search.

3) Which Bill Maher guest swayed Brent to watch the show?
     A) Ann Coutler.  I actually asked her to portray herself, but never got a response to my email.

4) What color are the two items at the register counter in the general store?
     A) Pink and Medium/Light Blue.

5) What does D.W.S. stand for?
     A) Driving While Square

6) Which character says, "Bromance"?
     A) Johnny Strange.  He sings it in his impromptu song.

7) Two of the aliens in "Holding Our Own: Episode 3" have names.  Name one of them.  Spelling counts.  (Hint: answering this question requires some extra-cirricular research.)
     A) General Mzraak is one.  He stands alongside Hitler.  Lt. Vraap is another.  He pilots the spacecraft.  Answer is found on the Holding Our Own Tumblr page.
