Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Interview with the Vampire

This was supposed to be the vampire/gothic/evil movie back in the nineties. A bit of violence (it's a vampire film, of course there will be blood), a bit of nudity (but not excessively) and lots of makeup. Based on a novel by Anne Rice (who is supposed to be some pretty hot stuff in the gothic / vampire / emo circuit).

Quite frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Teenage girls went all ga-ga over it due to Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise being in it. A young Kirsten Dunst is quite creepy, in a homocidal spawn of satan kind of way but without being over the top. A couple of plot holes you could drive a semi through, but mostly it stays consistent.

Overall, I'd say to watch this film if you have nothing better to do or are a big Anne Rice / Brad Pitt / Tom Cruise fan (although if you are you probably already saw this), but obviously not for those under 15. See it if you were in high school when this came out and you haven't seen it yet, if purely for nostalgia.

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

Grace is Gone
I cried.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith
I didn't see the hole thing but I saw most of the movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

You didn't see the whole thing but you saw most of the movie?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

No, he means he didn't see the part with the hole.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

That was in Return Of The Jedi though.

I'm really funny.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Rambo

That was actually pretty good. It lacked a storyline but gave you an adrenaline surge when Rambo goes rambo on those bad guys mini/sunnies

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Forgetting Sarah Marshal
Gosh this movie is hilarious. I'll gladly watch it again

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Shawshank Redemption

I seriously just saw this for the first time. All I have to say is mini/smile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Great, great film. I wish the film had better cinematography, it all looked so bland, the ending scene looked fantastic though.
This film is excellent, it showed how crazy the Nazi's were. I wanted to reach through the screen and punch them in the face.

The ending scene was amazing.

Open Season 2

Rating: mini/lol

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Strangers
This movie was a joke. It had no plot, no ending and no real story of any kind. It was dark and hard to see throughout. The camera angles could have been much better. The writer of this film should be slapped by his grandmother.

It was fun to watch in cinema, cause everyone would jump in spots. It gets your heart rate up but, yeah. It's not the best.

Monsters vs. Aliens

Most of the jokes were stupid, but the visuals are almost Pixar quality.

Yes, I've heard the CGI is good. It's done by Aussies, that's why!

The last film I watched was Blade Runner (on Bluray mini/smile)
Ultimately the plot wasn't that gripping or complicated, which is what film noir is partly about. Also, it had lots of subtle little things I didn't pick up on, like for example when Roy drives the nail through his hand it's because he wants so un-cramp the muscles in it. So it was also a little confusing.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Iron Man

It was great and all, so I'll be watching it again. I wish they didn't have all the sleaze in the first part of the film, though.

Sharpe's Enemy

A very enjoyable film. I only saw most of it, and skipped some parts I wasn't that interested in because I was pressed for time. Nice battles and cinematography, too.
