Topic: Market Street changes

I cannot make minifigs walk on smooth surfaces, like smooth plates. Sets like the town plan, which have sets with smooth floors, I remove the smooth plates to make it easier to walk on and to make them attach to the road plates.
Now that I have Market Street, I am wondering wheather to remove the smooth plates or leave them, for I am worried wheather if I remove them, it would make the settlose its figure.

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: Market Street changes

If you're going to animate on it, it would be a good idea to replace the tiles with plates, yes.

Re: Market Street changes

Or just use double-sided tesa

Re: Market Street changes

Sticky tack. Or when you put the leg down on a peice when walking replace it with a studded one.

Re: Market Street changes

It's still pretty hard to do with blu-tack. I've tried.

Re: Market Street changes

Blu-tack?
Isn´t there in your store Tesa stripes? Its transparent, and it glues from both sites

Re: Market Street changes

It's a little fiddly to do, but replacing smooth tiles with plates as the minifig steps onto each tile is the "simplest" way to do it.

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

Re: Market Street changes

Actually, it goes in order like this:
Method A: Remove all tiles: Advantage: Easy. Disadvantage: Set loses its look.
Method B: Dr. Neo Lao's method: Advantage: Easy AND still looks good. Disadvantage: Tedious.
Method C: Blu-Tack, Sticky Tape, etc.: Advantage: Looks the best. Disadvantage: Hard to do, must hid Blu-Tack

Whatever you do, its always good to have some Blu-Tack around the studio. Very useful for regular shots. I bought a pack a few months ago, didn't even use half yet!

I don't have "Blu-Tak". I have something just like it. They make loads of the same thing under different names. Theres Fun-Tack, Sticky-Tack (I think I have that one), and more

Re: Market Street changes

I personaly do not like to use blu-tack. I find that they lose their stick over time and that they leave marks on the lego as they get old. I use 'Tack It' instead.

I also know what to do now. Thanks to everyone who helped.
