You may be following the progress of my medieval film over on my production thread. If you have, you will see that I have finished my script (finally). Well, this is the official cattle casting call for my film. Let's cut to the chase:
This film has some emotional parts, but those are mostly reserved for the main characters. For the rest of you, you all need to not be afraid to yell into your microphones and sound like you are really there instead of shrinking back, feeling embarrassed, and "quiet yelling" into the mic (if you don't know what I mean, I'll dig up an example link). This film is not a funny film like my usual films. It is a more serious film, and quite uplifting (at the end 
).
There is no cursing, inappropriate scenarios, taking the Lord's name in vain, or anything like that. The wost that you will see in my film is a bit of bloodless violence.
Please note that I need people with high quality microphones for this.
Main Characters
Name: Princess Storm
Description: She is a strong-willed girl who is always ready for action. Being a princess and having a spirit for adventure just don't seem to mix for her. She is very skilled in the art of archery and can shoot anything from a mile away without even looking.
Voice: American female voice, about 20 or 30 years old. Has an attitude, but also a soft side. Must be able to do a bit of crying (which won't be heard very loudly or for very long in the film).
Line count: 36 lines, most are fairly short.
Audition Line: (angrily) This is no fairy tale, Duke! I can take care of myself!", (soft and sorrowful) "It's all my fault. I should have never done it... I will make things right"
Princess Storm's roll has been filled]
Name: Duke Exeter
Description: A very valiant and loyal knight. He is great with a sword. He enjoys every job he gets, and is very easy to talk to.
Voice: American male voice, about 20 or 30 years old. He speaks loudly a couple of times. He also has a fairly soft voice which can sound very forgiving.
Line Count: 30 lines, many are fairly short.
Audition Line: (yelling) "Princess, look out!", (speaking softly and sorrowfully) "Please... leave me alone. I deserve to be here."
Duke Exeter's roll has been filled]
(Face is subject to change)Name: King Leo (mainly known as "The king")
Description: A nice king, he loves his daughter and just wants to keep her safe. He can get angry at times, but can be very compassionate.
Voice: Very kingly sounding, not necessarily American. He is an old man, though, so he has to sound fairly old.
Line Count: 17 lines, no monologues, but many of his lines consist of a few sentences.
Audition Line: (angrily) "If you had been doing your job, none of this would have ever happened!", (speaking softly) "What did you wish to discuss with me?"
King Leo's roll has been filled]
Minor Characters
These characters do not have many lines, nor do they play a very large part in the film.
Name: King's Advisor
Voice: British or American accent, talks quietly in the film. Needs a fairly deep voice, though, not unrealistically deep.
Line Count: 3 lines
Audition Line: "The Bull knights are gaining the upper hand, Sire. With them planning on calling help from the Dragon knights, we don't stand a chance."
Advisor's roll has been filled]
Name: Dragon Knight 1
Voice: Extremely evil, deep voice. Possibly a little raspy.
Line Count: 7 lines (a few of them are yelling in battle)
Audition Line: "Ha! You'll never stand a chance against me!"
Dragon Knight's roll has been filled]
Name: Bull Knight 1 (The tall one)
Voice: Has a strong New England (like a Boston or New York one). I will settle for an Australian or British accent, though. EDIT: Sounds rough, but kind of goofy (Basically, just make a voice that sounds like he looks)
Line Count: 5 lines (most of them are yelling in battle)
Audition Line: "This is the best plan Cedric has ever had." and "Don't let him get away!"
Bull Knight 1's roll has been filled]
Name: Bull Knight 2 (The short one)
Voice: American southern redneck voice. EDIT: He could also be a higher voiced person.
Line Count: 3 lines (a couple of them are yelling)
Audition Line: "You said it!" and "Hey! Get him, get him!"
Bull Knight 2's roll has been filled]
I prefer .WAV files, but for the auditions, you can just use 320kb mp3s if you wish. You can PM me and I will give you my email address so you can send the lines. Alternatively, you can upload the lines to the internet (like Google Drive, Box.com, or Dropbox) and just link them to me in PM.
