Topic: How to Make a Casting Call
So recently, I have been seeing too many casting calls without the right information, or horribly formatted. What this topic intends to do is stop this from happening and help people get voice actors, by means of telling you just what to include in your casting call.
This Topic will do three things: help you give all information needed, look more like you know what you're doing, and altogether get more voice actors.
To start you'll need to know just what information to include, so potential voice actors know what to do order to audition...
1: What type of film you're making.
People want to know what exactly your film will be about, it will help people get the feel of your film.
2: What Characters you need.
This will include the names of your various characters
3: What type of voice your characters have.
This will include age, accent and just the voice they have.
4: Test lines your characters say.
This is too often forgotten, even though it one of the most important things to have. Pick a defining line your character says so people know what to send in their audition.
5: Total line count.
It is helpful for people to know just how big their character is. As they might like to play smaller roles.
6: Photos of your characters.
Wether it be one picture of all your characters or individual ones, they help greatly for your voice actors to know who they're playing as.
7: Questionable content
Many people do not like to participate in films with Language/Sex/Gore/Drugs in them. Simply say what the worst thing you have in your film.
8: Contact information.
You will either need to give your email or just tell people via pm.
9: Formatting.
This simply means keep your post organized. Do thing such as indentation, line separation etc.
That's About it! if you have any recommendations on what else people should include, suggest away.
