Topic: Casting Call: Immortal Iron Fist (series)
Hey guys! I'm currently working on a new series called Immortal Iron Fist for the Marvel Brickfilm Universe. Immortal Iron Fist will be 5 to 6 episodes, and is being written by me and animated by Joebor1777. There are quite a few characters with Chinese and Japanese accents in this series; we understand they might be hard to do, and we are not looking for perfection in that respect. Jin
Female, Chinese. She is the series' love interest, but also a strong character who does her fair-share of butt-kicking.
Test lines: "It’s been too long, my love. Feels like a lifetime." "Every able-bodied citizen find a weapon! Iron Fist and I will rejoin you outside."
Master Kung
Male, Chinese. Martial arts master, he's the mentor figure to Iron Fist and should sound quite strong and authoritative.
Test lines: "You have come far, Rand-K'ai, but you have much to learn." "You will learn to fear the approach of the Thunderer!"
K'un L'un Elder
Male, Chinese. Very old and very wise.
Test lines: "A warrior's heart is strong and true, but only fire can reveal it to be so." "The Hand seek a weapon mightier than any their native isle can offer them."
Doka
Male, Japanese. Deep(ish) voice.
Test lines: "Do not make your fate any worse, woman." "You shall die by my hand!"
There are kind of six 'Doka'-style characters that need to be cast, and since they're all so similar, I'm basically using Doka as an audition for them all.
SHIELD Agent 1
Male, American. Just a regular-sounding guy.
Test line: "But sir, we're not equipped for Level 7 threats!"
Animation has already begun on the series, so we are looking to have these roles cast very soon (because of this, I've actually posted on a couple of sites). The scripts are being tweaked so I may update with a couple more characters in the next week or so, though I think I've got down everyone that hasn't already been cast.
Thought I'd also mention that potentially, we're looking for someone to animate a Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver origin miniseries (2 to 3 episodes). If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you a link to the comic we're using as inspiration for the script.
