If you read my post you'd know it's a micro-scale space ship. mini/tongue

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Finally, a windowsill that I'm happy with, but who cares about that bit. Anyway, what do you guys think about it? Does the windowsill need to be longer? The curtain pole higher? Anything needed on the sides? Does it look more like the outside of the window than the inside? (Yes, that last bit is important, since the set this is for is the inside of a room.)

And yes, I am working on a film, and the sooner I get this set done, the sooner it will (hopefully) be released.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I would build the wall 2 studs thick, and put the window on the outside row of studs, and a tile on the inside. The curtain rod looks good. Are you planning on adding curtains?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Actually, I scrapped the curtain rod, because I was originally planning on having shades outside the window, so a curtain rod would be kind of unnecessary. And the 2 stud thick wall seemed a bit deep to me, for a bedroom, anyway.

I see. I cant think of anything else to add to that now...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I say add a cuboard attached to bthe wall underneith it.
That way, it would look realistic and tell the veiwer it is the inside of the wall.

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I'm not sure how that would fit; a heater, maybe, since it could go in front of the windowsill, but I don't think a cupboard would work. Anyway, I've finished the actual room, and I'm now working on props.

Heres a good heater design:

BTW, can we get a picture of the room?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

That's very nice Maron.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Wow! That's a really good radiator! I also like the floor, very nice

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I don't think that's Maron's design. mini/wink
