Dis is my first vidya. I made it around 3.5 years ago. I had a Windows machine then, and I used Anasazi's SMA frame capture program. I edited it in Windows Movie Maker. Enjoy. :l

I made this back in 2008. It was a grand total of 20 frames, edited entirely in Windows Movie Maker, and with a Troughton-era Doctor Who soundtrack.
Ahh, those good old days...
The very first brickfilm I made was called The Ninja (or something like that), and unfortunately I lost it. It was about 40 seconds long, and was about two ninjas fighting on a roof top with one of the two falling off. That one was from 2003-2004 somewhere. It was one of my very first attempts at animating and I still recall that giddy feeling at the end of a shoot watching back what I just made.
The first available brickfilm is Fight Test #1. That was made wayyyy back in July 2004. I remember one of my high school friends sent me a large ZIP file with sound effects ripped from some medieval RTS game. Nothing special.
Then there's Car Drive Test, something I was (and still kinda am) very proud of when I made it. It was made one summer night; brickfilming doesn't do wonders if you have nocturnal tendencies. It's just a car driving around on the floor of my parents' house, but it has some cool camera effects.
After that it all spiralled downhill basically.
My first one? I don't think i have that anymore. I started brickfilming around 2012, i was still a bit young and i was using movie maker. After 3 months of that i got stop motion pro and a very low quality Logitech Webcam that i still use to this day, you can even still see the marks from the clay and putty on it. The laptop i used to make these films broke down long ago along with any footage that didn't 'make the cut' for my youtube channel. Around the same time as my laptop breaking down i immediately stopped my attempts at brickfilming. Due to moving and an extremely time consuming issue at home with a beloved family member dying two rooms down from me. I absolutely fell out of it after her death and have not returned since. I don't think at this point anyone is going to view this thread, but if you do, this is possibly my only chance to do anything with this old hobby. I really hope for my sake this post doesn't get too long.

From the title you have probably already guessed i was a huge fan of video games. At the time i was just starting out and to be honest it took up more of my time than anything else. As i said before i dived right into making films with stop motion pro with no outside experience whatsoever. I made this entire film in a tiny corner of the house. One thing that will show from my animations is no script, no storyboarding, and no outside help whatsoever. I didn't even know what bricks in motion was, i could hardly connect to the internet with our crappy connection! But for a starting point i enjoyed it, and i still think it was a great experience. And to this day i think this is the greatest thing i ever made just as a starting point.

You can see from each one my experience growing, by the third i had already learned how to chroma key. With these two i moved to a different place, and i had better gear for the sets. You can see by the hand painted blue background.
With the Heavy one, i had no idea at the time what the lines were or where they came from, i just assumed it was nothing and continued. I'll add now i was still a kid then so the idea of putting effort into post-production editing and lighting was not something that came to my mind. Around this time i started trying to get into gaming videos, which i consider to be the scorn of my youtube career and the death of this hobby for me.

@Pinkerman with each film you made, there was a substantial improvement. I can definitely see that your abilities were evolving significantly. I watched all three of them, and I think that with the first two, it looks as though you could of made better sets, and those lines in the second one were quite a problem. But by the third one, the set was much better, and also, no lines. Plus, I really love that explosion in the end. I am very sorry to hear that you won't be making any more films. I think by the end, you really did show potential 
My first Brickfilm wasn't really that long ago. It was last February and was the first of a four-part series. Link here. Although it wasn't that long ago, I have improved a lot since then, so please be aware that this was when I was starting out

My first film was Transaction for the Ten Lines Contest on the original Brickfilms.com site.
I went a different route and used a surveillance camera hooked up to my computer. I can't remember if I used MonkeyJam or one of the other free programs to stitch the photos into video clips, then used Windows Movie maker to join the clips into the video.
I did the audio in an audio program, can't remember which one off the top of my head... but fairly certain I used Audacity. I do remember I layered a whole heap of different sounds together to create the 'car getting crushed' sound. That one was fun.
Nice one. It's funny after all these years, I am the second ever person to give it a like.
"The Fastest and Funniest Star Wars Story Ever Told" was the first real brickfilm I ever saw. It inspired my first ever stopmotion movie. It didn't have a title, it was a Star Wars animation (of course), and it was filmed without an animation software (I just flipped through the pictures really fast). I don't have it anymore, so I can't post it here. I lost interest for a couple years after that, until I discovered the Brotherhood Workshop, Fancy Pants, and Mindgame Studios, that got me all started again...

Though to be honest, hardly any LEGO was used apart from the minifigures.
I used some old Microsoft webcam and windows movie maker.
The screaming in your first brickfilm reminds me of old films me and my brother made. He would do that exact same scream it sounded so fake 
My first animation that I uploaded to Youtube was "Robo-dile Flamethrower"
I originally created this animation using an Olympus Fe-360 camera and used Windows Movie Maker to create the animation. It's one of my popular animations that I created and uploaded to youtube. After I finished creating the video, I uploaded it to youtube on June 9, 2014, which is almost 2 years ago. It will become 2 years old tomorrow June 9, 2016.

I really have no idea what my first animation was. I must have deleted it or something because I don't see it anywhere. Anyway, I used the iSight camera stuck to the top of my MacBook Pro, and used FrameByFrame to animate. Then I exported it, and watched it.
I did the same thing! Unfortunately, mine was lost too.
I made it with my cousin at my grandparents. It took about three hours for the shoot. We shot with a Nikon Coolpix S2700 with no manual focus. The light was an Ikea lamp. We put the frames together with a demo version of iStopMotion.
