Oh yes.

But, I was too awesome for them.

The power of onion rings quickly overwhelmed them.

They couldn't handle all the Josh Brolin.

Re: BrickUltra?

Here's our official page were people apply for the BrickUltra Network (very few people actually met the criteria we're looking for so we have a low acceptance rate). At the moment we're kind of slim on Brickfilmers so I thought I'd ask you guys if anyone was interested. Here's the link though if you want more info: http://brickultra.com/brickultra-network-info/

If that interests you, you can apply here: http://brickultra.com/brickultra-network-application/

Thanks for reading this and we hope your interested in working with us. If you have any suggestions or questions or want more information, feel free to message us.

Thanks to anyone that reads this mini/smile

Re: BrickUltra?

I was invited to join the BrickUltra network in August 2014 but declined after talking to people who had experience with BrickUltra. Here are some reasons I chose not to join:

1. Brickultra divides your content between two channels. Instead of getting more views to your channel, the BrickUltra channel just gets more views and you may some referrals from there, but the majority of the views are on their channel because of your videos, not your channel.

2. Apparently, where the BrickUltra rules says "Videos can only be published on one channel," it has a hidden meaning that says that BrickUltra now "owns" your videos. For example, Jampot, who used to be on the BrickUltra "team", wanted to get off the team so he could focus more on his own videos. He had a lot of trouble leaving, but now I see his name is finally removed off the "team members" list on the channel. However, his videos are still uploaded to their channel. This means that your videos belong to BrickUltra forever, even when you are not on their "team". (I don't know if that's the way Jampot wanted it, but I doubt it)

Also, keep this in mind: "BrickUltra Network is not a promotional channel; when you sign up you are agreeing to upload most of your LEGO video's onto the BrickUltra Network. In a sense BrickUltra will become your main channel."

Of course, these are not from personal experience, but from what I have observed and heard, I don't think it is a very good idea to join their channel. I think that point one is the best reason, because splitting your videos into two channels does not help you very much, it mainly helps BrickUltra.

Correct. Though I'm not happy with them being there, I can understand BrickUltra's reasoning, but I still hope in future they might consider removing them (especially since Ultron Ascending has been completely rebooted and is available to view on my own channel).

Also, BrickUltra please do not double-post. In future if you wish to add something, please edit your first post rather than creating a second directly afterward.

Re: BrickUltra?

Minor bump.

As BrickUltra is looking to gain revenue, yes, I could see why they'd want to have your videos on their channel. It doesn't help them as much if they're on your channel.

I've never been fond of any of it. It seems like there are too many cons that outweigh the pros.

Re: BrickUltra?

This is a little off topic, but the discussion is sort of about YouTube networks, but does anyone have any experience with the Frederator network? I've seen videos pop up on Cartoon Hangover and it looks like they post one episode of a show they like and link back to the animators account,  I could be wrong on the that though.

Also on YouTube networks  can you link back to your account with behind the scenes videos and whatnot? I am thinking of making a mini-series after my current project as I should be able to output content faster now that I have some help (right now it looks like all my face tracking will be done when I wrap animation, that's like 20+ hours of post done while I am animation) I would really like a wider audience to make a 4+? episode kid friendly adventure series.

No, though the people there have asked me two times to join their network. I don't think I want to though...

A discussion about Frederator went on here:

http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/to … r-network/

I personally can't say if they are any good. I've not joined a network, and don't plan to any time soon. (However, I will say that Frederator looks like a better network to join than BrickUltra because Frederator is a large company, and you keep to keep the rights to the content you upload, and can upload to your own channel. Though, I wouldn't really consider BrickUltra to be a "network" like Frederator.)

Don't feel special, Harbor. They message people all the time. mini/tongue
