Re: The Screenplay Challenge
I'm really not sure. I have an idea, though it might not work; I guess we'll see.

Naturally, I can not enter. But I do want to see what you do with the topic. Even if you spend time thinking of a story while filming something else, I'm sure the creative people here can write an idea into 1 to 2 hundred lines of text. Let's make this challenge a continuous place for inspiration!
No one is entering this time. What if I changed the topic?
Yeah I'm having a hard time getting an idea for this theme.
Okay, everyone, the new theme is:
AFTER THE STORM
Everything is just like before, only the last day to enter is one week, or March 9th!
I wasn't going to enter since I judged the previous challenge, but maybe I will if nobody else is entering.
Yes, please enter. Since you're not judging, you should be eligible to enter! And please, creative BiM minds, give him some competition!
Here's my entry.
If anyone would like to use this script in a brickfilm, send me a PM.
I have my entry finished, but currently in my time zone it's 38 minutes past the dead line. Can I still submit my entry, since there's only one entry right now?
Edit:
Here's my entry, if I am allowed to enter: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e83alj3j969ks g.pdf?dl=0

I think I'll let it slide. Of, course, you win by default, but I still read your entry as if there was competition. I did imagine that one of the ways the phrase "After the Storm" is literal, as was your entry. I thought "Survived But Suffering" has emotional potential when seen on-screen. I think part of the challenge of screenplay writing is that it is very dry compared to what's seen on screen, and a good screenplay vividly paints a picture, with the aid of the reader's imagination, of course. Yours did that effectively.
So, it's like we're starting over, with you as the judge for the next challenge. I hope this picks up more as it continues... the actual writing part doesn't take too much time, and the thought process can be done while doing other tasks (some of my best ideas come while doing dishes or sweeping).
Congratulations! I'll be anxious to hear the next challenge, and maybe you can put the names of topics and a list of winners in the first post as each contest ends!
ok, I think I may be in for the next round!

Didn't One Douglas make an entry? So why do I win by default?
WAIT! YOU DON'T WIN UNTIL I READ ONE DOUGLASS' ENTRY. Let me find it!!!!!!!!! Yes! Found it. ALLOW ME ONE MORE DAY TO DECIDE so that I don't make a hasty decision!
Yeah you really confused me there.
Okay, I'm back. I read OneDouglass' entry. Then I read it again. Then I re-read Tenny's entry.
I've made my decision, though it wasn't easy. The winner of the second Screenplay Challenge is OneDouglass. Congratulations to him. Though I loved both stories, I did love the revelation towards the end of Project X, which brought it to the top in the end. You'll be the judge of the next Screenplay challenge. Good luck to all who enter the next one!
The new theme is Not What it Seems. (Yes, that is a reference to the new Gravity Falls episode.)
The deadline is March 26 2015. I hope to read some great entries.
Very weird. I just tuned in. Less than 1 hour ago, I was thinking, "'Not What It Seems' could be the next topic. I wonder what a story like that would look like..."
I'm almost tempted to try entering something this time...
Same here. If I find the time.
