Alright so no where near a LEGO store, and online Pick-a-Brick is incredibly expensive.
Where is the best place to buy bulk bricks (regular pieces) online that is legit and relatively cheap? I've seen some sites but my dad who has the credit card is uncomfortable with some of them since he's never heard of them...
Well, LEGO do a lot of brick buckets, and most of them are good value for money. The advantage of using the LEGO shop online is that you can sign up to the VIP system, which gives you points everytime you buy something (eventually giving you enough points to get a small LEGO set).
I'd also check Amazon. They normally have some good deals on LEGO, like 20% or even 40% off sometimes. Then, if you check ebay, sometimes people seel huge tubs of grey bricks for like $15; some are good value, some aren't, but you have to take it on a case-by-case basis.
Aside from that, I'm afraid I can't help you. I'd recommend Bricklink, but for the fact that I've never used it for bulk brick orders - only small items, like individual minifig or BIONICLE parts, or general accessories.

Well I have enough LEGO sets lol. I just need regular bricks, and there's no LEGO store close by (within 100 miles)
I've heard of Bricklink although some people said they've gotten scammed by some people? And I guess Ebay is good too but selection varies with time.

It is the perfect site for buying the bits you need, I've never had a bad experience with it during my many many orders. All sellers have feedback ratings from previous buyers if you're that paranoid.
Bricklink is like Ebay, you have to check out the sellers.
95% of them are absolutely wonderful, but the other 5% are complete jerks.
I've had nothing but great experiences with Bricklink*, and highly recommend it.
It's perfect, as you can get the exact bricks you want, as well as in the quantities that you desire.
*Give yourself a strict budget or you will end up spending a lot more money than you planed.
Which isn't always a bad thing, but nevertheless you've been warned.
Bricklink is the best option. I completely back up everything Pritchard said; just make sure the feedback is good and you will never have a bad experience, but keep an eye on how much you are spending and try to not get addicted. I have a major problem in that regard...

Since the holiday season is fairly near, it might be a good idea to keep an eye out for those Sunday ads.
Retail places such as Walmart, Target, Toys-R-Us, etc. have a ton of sales leading up 'till Christmas.
Personally, I don't recommend Black Friday sales. To me, they've been a total letdown since the early/mid 2000's.
Not to mention...the fighting, the rude people, the gigantic crowds, cheap and/or no freebies…totally not worth it.
The early bird pre-Black Friday sales and the Cyber Monday sales have much better deals.

Thought I'd throw this out there in hopes that it may help someone find Lego bricks/parts for a cheaper price than buying sets. Buy sets without minifigs from bricklink. Here is my example: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=113276
compare the "incomplete" set that has all the parts except the figs for just over $13 to the retail price for this set that was $40. I'm probably going to start getting a lot of my Lego like this in the future. Hope this helps.

Most members on bricks in motion are at an age where their mates don't play with toys anymore. They would want to get rid of them, so teenagers would sell Legos at a low price.

I love those High Schoolers who think they're too cool for Lego.
Yard sales are a good place to look too. That's if you're looking for bulk bricks. But if you do that, you'll be sorting LEGO for the next few months. I also suggest washing them in bleach water too.
I actually called the Lego Group about this. They don't recommend bleach. They suggest soaking them in warm water and detergent (I like Dove), then towel/air drying the elements. Towel drying is a pain because I just can never get into the stud recesses and the undersides. The tube coupling devices have properties that tend to resist air displacement, but it's little comfort.
I've never been too lucky at yard sales, though I did find a $60 boxed Bionicle for $2 and a boxed $50 to $60 Mars Mission set for $2 at a different sale. Oh, and one really great haul, the original Ultimate Collectors' X-Wing, the 2000 Space shuttle, some Technic sets, other action series, all worth $450 or so retail (probably about $1000 to $1200 today) for $25! I almost forgot that one. Maybe I am lucky. But that's about all with six years of "yard sailing". Have any of you BiM members found some good hauls?
When I need bricks, I advertise in the local trade paper, and get 1 to 2 good responses each time. I now have a lady on a nearby island who has 4 plastic bins full, and I can buy 1 bin at a time for $25 to $40 each whenever I need one. It's mostly Star Wars, too, which is pretty awesome.

I think I read that, but from experience, bleach works and doesn't damage bricks. Obviously, don't make it too strong, but just enough in a tub of water, it will clean the bricks well. But use with caution, of course.

I think I picked up a third of my LEGO collection when I was in high-school doing that, some people I just gave them a producer credit in a film, other around $20 and one guy with the largest collection $100, still very cheap and a LOT of LEGO.

Never use bleach on LEGO parts. Hot water and dishwashing soap would do just fine without destroying the ABS or paint.
On topic though, Bricklink is great and eBay can be if you know what you're doing there. Just keep in mind what the cost per part is, know what the "worth" of it is (for example don't pay more than PAB online charges), and be mindful of photos and descriptions.
I bleached Lego bricks before, and saw no damage long or short-term, but since TLG says not to, I stopped, and recommend you do the same, for the reason Darkdragon says.
