I was just about to guess Funny Games!
*Smacks Forhead* I knew that looked familiar.
It's Funny Games from 1997. Strange film.
Respect Mr. jimmybob. Your turn.
Humm no guesses, I think you might have to give us a hint.
But I will take a stab at:
Paint your Wagon (I know that isn't Lee Marvin, but the actor above might be a bit part actor in the background)
Starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Marvin, Jean Seberg
Released 1969
Directed by Joshua Logan
Or it might be
The Big Country
Released 1958
Staring Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Jean Simmons
Directed by William Wyler
165 minutes long, a big old film
It's not "The big country". Judging by the film quality, I would say that the movie was made in the 60's or thereabouts.
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Directed by John Huston
Starring Walter Huston
A big influence for There Will be Blood

Isn't it a black and white movie? ![]()
Yes, Treasure of the Sierra Madre was shot in 1948 and was black and white, so it isn't that.
Once Upon a Time in the West
Staring: Charles Bronson and Henry Ford
Directed by Sergio Leone
Probably the best spaghetti western not staring Clint Eastwood
Probably not, since I believe Leone was famous for his use of the 1:2.35 aspect ratio.
Indiana Jones?

Dude it totally isn't Once Upon a Time in the West. I was slightly disappointed at someone even suggesting that it was that. How can one NOT remember ever single bit of that movie.
Just a guess but...
The Flight of the Phoenix (1966)
stars James Stewart
was remade recently
directed by Robert Aldrich
BertL I have never seen it - Ha ha - bet you're really hopping mad now ![]()
