Topic: Editor wanted for BIONICLE motion comic!

Hey all,

Recently, some friends of mine were creating a motion comic out of a BIONICLE visual novel one of them was making, but the guy who was editing has removed himself from the internet for personal reasons. As such, this project is now pretty much on the back-burner, and may even be cancelled unless we can find an editor.

The comic in question is this. It's called Zero Hour, and is a kind of dystopic alternate universe fanfic.

The comic's intended to go on our joint Custom BIONICLE channel, released episodically over next year. If you'd like to edit, please let me know - this is essentially what we'd like someone to be able to do. If you would like to edit, you'll be properly credited in each video's credits and in the video descriptions (with a link to your own channel/website, whichever you prefer). No need to worry about voice actors. I think we my friend has finished casting, so we'll collect the lines in and send them across to you.

What do you mean by editor? A person who edits film? A person who corrects spelling and grammar? Which one are you talking about?

Youtube

my dad doesn't want me to brickfilm on because it's his computer, but he's not home right now at the moment.

This.

We're looking for someone to turn the still images from the comic into a motion comic.

Hate to bump, but we're still in need of an editor, and are several months behind where we'd like to be. Is anyone interested?

Re: Editor wanted for BIONICLE motion comic!

Have you got any shots of these characters with their poses against plain backgrounds? Because the first thing you'd have to do before getting anything to move is separate these characters from their backgrounds. At present that looks like an epic PITA...

We're not actually looking for anything quite that complex - you can read the currently available chapters of the comic version here. When SED was editing it, he was essentially just going to add pans/zooms/et al to the images to make them more interesting than if they were static. Bear in mind the cartoon speech bubbles won't be in the motion version - we're currently finishing casting - but soundscapes will also be important.

I would love to but the only video editor I have is iMovie and Hitfilm. Also I don't have much time on a weekly basis so if the project takes a good amount of time, I might be a while in the editing.

No worries mini/smile

Still looking for someone to edit? I'm home schooled giving me the ability to move my time around so I can work when needed, I use Premiere Pro and After Effects for my editing (and editing of effects).

Re: Editor wanted for BIONICLE motion comic!

Hey Jampot!

I'm open to editing the comic if you still need it. I use final cut pro X, after effects, and I have some experience in comics and such, since I make them quite a bit, so I know what they should look like mini/smile

I think I could get the desired effect (as shown in your link) and I can work well under deadlines.

Let me know your decision!

Thanks for the responses PrestigiousPie, Shutterpoint and Dyland! I'm currently on holiday, but I've forwarded this thread to some of my colleagues, and we're going to start discussing all of this when I get back just before Christmas. So sorry if there's a bit of a wait before I reply again, but I just wanted you to know that I have seen your offers here and they're greatly appreciated! I hope to be able to get back to you all in the next week or so.

Thanks guys!
