Folder isn't public. Could you try a deeplink?

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

It might be more interesting if the camera were lowered somewhat to put the guy in the center. The lighting could also be far more dramatic and exciting, but I guess this depends on what mood you're going for. Right now it looks rather flat for an exterior shot.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Well it's supposed to be sort of commercial like, to get people to move into that city. Now, some parts of it will have darker lighting, since there will be some violence in the background.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

...the post production done on the face is very, very obvious.  Either darken and blur it a tad, or sharpen and brighten the scene.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Yeah...  the problem was that in the original shot, the face was far too dark. So I brightened it up a bit and worked on some other things, as well.  But I'll consider the things you've said in the final shot. This only was a test one to try out how the set worked and so on.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

More obvious than the face, I think, is the hair coloring. The green spills over the edges a little too much. I like how you've done the Joker's mouth, but his eyes appear to be looking up, and his entire face needs to be lowered slightly in relation to the head.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Why does he look up?
That's what bothers me about the frame. He looks up.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

I think he's looking up because The Joker is known in the Nolanverse to glare from under his eyebrows.

Dane is sad.

I'm experimenting with AE. Hardest part so far has been getting the new face elements to still look like Dane.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

He must have been watching some of his stand up on TV.

I love it, Buxton.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Looks good, I never attempt mouth animation with the more intricate faces.  The eyes and eyebrows look too far apart, but then I don't have the original for comparison.

Know you and your Sean Connery montage clip, this should be cake walk for you.

Experimenting with sound.  I realize that they used Shepard tone, but I've yet to figure out how to do that with Audacity.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Buxton, very nice. Looks impressively natural.

Lech, this was probably due to the lack of a set, but I never really felt the "speed sensation" that you normally get from watch things like car chases or...    batpods.

I think that was Jay Silver. The only facial animation I've done so far is lip synching a bit of a song over a still picture.

Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique

Yeah, that was Jay.

Ah, my bad.  I get the two of you highly skilled animators confused sometimes.

Are you using a cylinder plugin by in any chance?
