Topic: I'm going to start posting up the things I learn as I learn them.

I've decided to start documenting my learning curve so other people can see what I'm seeing and perhaps benefit from my trips and stumbles and avoid some of the pitfalls I've fallen into.

Like all things, I'll start off with a lot of entries and then slow down into a steady rhythm.  To be honest, I haven't found a site that talks about all the things I wish I could hear about so here we go - I guess I'll lead in case others wish to follow and when I look back in a year or two I can go "oh yeah - I remember those days ..."   mini/smile

first post looks good, looking forward to seeing you progress

Re: I'm going to start posting up the things I learn as I learn them.

Awesome, TogFox.  I did the same thing when I started.  It was just a .txt file called, "What I've Learned.  It it grew into the "Holding Our Own Guide To Brickfilming".  If you'd like to download it (It's in PDF format), you can click the link below:

I caught a mistake in the voice chapter, where the before & after editing sound images are the same.  This will be corrected in the next revision.  But you might want to read my "What I've Learned" chapter.

It's really cool to track your own progress.  Sometimes, referring to them occasionally helps reinforce those lessons, so you don't forget them later on.

Thanks guys.  I've now got three or four posts in there for your reading pleasure.

HOO - I've seen your Guide some weeks back.  Much longer/larger than I was expecting.  Nice work.  mini/smile  You should put that link in your forum signature.

Yeah, it's like, 68 pages, but I did divide it up into the different parts of brickfilming.  I also teried to keep it entertaining, surprising, and different from any other type of "how-to" book.  Maybe the admins can post a link to the guide, if they find it worthy, in their RESOURCES section.  I hope they do, because I wrote the guide as a thank you to all the people who helped me here in BiM all along the way.

Let us know if you post any updates.

Re: I'm going to start posting up the things I learn as I learn them.

In case peeps haven't noticed, I now have 5 posts on my blog.  I've been doing a lot of flying for work purposes and managed to get quite a lot typed up.

I'm not going to bump this thread everytime I post but will bump it periodically if moderators allow.  I'd like to think I post stuff that expands peoples thinking.  There are countless technical "how to" youtubes about.  I'm trying to make this one just that little bit different and making each of us think outside the square.

Happy to take feedback and suggestions.

I've got 7 articles up now.  One BiM member has messaged me saying he/she is a dedicated follower and asked a question or two.  That's great.  mini/smile

Happy to take feedback on any article.  I know I need more images.  Most articles are posted whilst I'm on a plane and away from those things but its something I need to work on.  mini/smile

Thanks CyberCom.  mini/smile

I added another article just now.   I'm going to set a personal rule of no less than two images from now on.  mini/smile   Link in my sig.

I just worked out when you go to the blog you can email subscribe in the bottom right corner.  You don't need to be a word press member.  mini/smile  If you follow the dedicated twitter account then you get notified that way as well.  mini/smile

I now have a dozen posts that might help those that want to do this 'sport' faster and better.  mini/smile

Happy to hear what works for you and what doesn't and any parts you simply disagree with.
