Topic: Casting Call: Magnetic Mania [CLOSED]
One of the projects I'm currently working on in between filming bits of Ultron Ascending and Istari Adventures is a series of short Bionicle animations. I've finished the first, and it should be ready to upload around the end of the week and I'm looking to get a head-start on the second. It's called Magnetic Mania and is literally only a page of script - short, simple bit of fun - but I'm hoping to use some of these characters again in the near future, particularly Pohatu and Hewkii. Some of the test lines are from other Bionicle canon rather than this short, as I'm rewriting a few lines at the mo. I've also posted links to their wiki pages, in case you're wondering how their names are pronounced.
Pohatu
Character bio.
Physically, he's the strongest of the Toa Nuva (if we forget mask powers for a sec) but he's quite a lively character. I think this is a pretty good idea of how he should sound, so aim for something similar to that if you can: strong, but not overly deep, and confident.
Test line: It is said that great power can be found in small packages... and that aid can come from places least expected.
Hewkii
Taken.
Onewa
Character bio.
He's a Turaga, which is a tribe elder. This is what he sounded like in the movie (he only had that one line), so if you can try sounding like that, that'd be great. Heavy Texan accents are also welcome, since Po-Koro is pretty much the Texas of the island of Mata Nui
Test line: (reminiscing) My fellow sculptors and I created wonders far greater than you would find in any other village.
For a different Nuva animation, which isn't written and doesn't even have a title yet, I'm also looking for:
Kopeke
Character bio.
He's a shy, quiet Matoran villager, who'll spend a considerable amount of the animation being annoyed. Tone and inflection is completely up to you.
Test line: Only hardy Matoran can withstand the wind and ice of Ko-Koro. These Rahi will find me tough to overcome.
Test line: Just take a moment to think before using your mask power next time!
Please send auditions to [email protected], and I'll endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
To anyone wondering about all those Saruman/Radagast animations and The Genie, I'm still making all of them. My order in which I make animations changes frequently, as I can be a bit hyperactive, and like to get on with things as the mood takes me - get working on something when my interest is highest. But I haven't abandoned any of those brickfilms, and I should get at least one episode of Istari Adventures out by the end of September (it's mostly animated, or will be soon).
Thanks guyyyyyzzzz!!!!!
