Topic: Good priced and high quality microphones?

Hey everyone! for future projects and such i'm looking for a microphone that doesn't cause my voice to sound, kinda muffled and just plain bla. i want my voice to sound completely natural. a good enough quality that you could even record some voices for your music sort of thing. but when it comes to stuff like this, i have no idea what to look for!

So if you could point me the right direction, that would be great! High quality, with a decent price. I am fine paying 50 to 100 bucks mini/smile

I use the blue snowball and it's great quality for a decent price.

The blue yeti is great quality and it's close to $100 (it fluctuates between a bit more and a bit less on amazon)

Thanks man! these are definitely possible candidates for purchases mini/smile

Re: Good priced and high quality microphones?

Blue Yeti is by far the best price decent microphone. I would definitely spend the few extra dollars to get the upgrade performance it has over the Snowball

Re: Good priced and high quality microphones?

Do the blues have a pop filter/splatter screen?  Are they needed?

In terms of space saving - does anyone use headphone/mic combination?  I'd rather have a mike on my headphone than have yet another USB device on my already cluttered desk.

You need a pop filter, but you can get them really cheap on amazon, or even make one yourself. Just don't buy the one Blue sells because it's way overpriced, even if it does look cool.
