I know the rules outlaw blood and gore, but how about a minimal amount in a surgical context?

"The orange and red pieces must be LEGO or a similar make and must be touching, if not connected."
What if they are touching and connected but a prop in the set is blocking you from seeing. Do I have to show it fully connected?

I think the connection has to be visible. Not in every frame, but in every shot. Frames make up a shot, shots make up a scene. So as long as the two colors are visibly connected at some point in the shot, you should be ok.

This mod element thing is killing me! Next contest I hope they bring down the restrictions a bit.

That would be helpful, but I doubt they'll do that. The key is strategically placing the elements in the set so that at least one is visible from every angle. It's probably easier when one of the rarer colors like orange isn't one of the mods.

Yeah, plus orange is a strange looking color to put in darker sets.

Are you talking about something like this?
For each of the Pumpkins Three, they have red bodies and orange heads, however you can't actually see the place where they are physically touching since it's blocked by a shoulder stuff.
However, anyone with any sense should be able to tell that the orange heads are attached to the red torsos. There's no way that would physically be possible for them to not be touching unless you for some reason cut off the necks from the torsos and just set the heads there, but that's such a ridiculous possibility that it's not even worth considering.

Pretty much like that just will a metal bar in between the torso. Ok I just wanted to double check.

As long as the constellation is really obvious it's forming a K, this works (and I mean you can clearly see a K in the sky).
