Topic: Casting Call - "Untitled" Project (Male + Female voices needed!)
Hello everybody.
I'm currently working on a new brickfilm. Without spoiling anything, it's about four friends and their... adventures(?) With a script of about 24 pages there's a decent bit of dialogue for these characters. There's also a lot of minor characters.
If there's one thing that's inspired me it's Charles Schultz's work on Peanuts. So if you enjoy that type of humor, you might be into this film.
If you aren't interested in voice acting, but you know some people who might be, feel free to share this with them.
I go into more info about the characters, their fictional ages, accents, proposed voice styles, and test lines below.
PLEASE ALL SEND AUDITIONS TO: [email protected]

(From Left to Right)
Tom
Tom is the character from Giving Thanks. Him and Jeff are good friends. I'll be reprising his voice. He's just shown here to show that there's a 4th character.. (I guess?)
(He's also in my recent "Conquer The World" short, which showcases a bit of his personality.)
Jeff - Max Edmeier is voicing.]
Age: 20s
Accent: American
Jeff is another character from Giving Thanks. Instead of reprising his role I figure I'd try to find another voice for him.
He is generally pretty calm, with a sarcastic sense of humor. My ideal sound for him is close to how I voice him in Giving Thanks, but lower and more chill. He's not as mean as he was in that short, either. As a matter of fact he's evolved quite a bit.
Test lines: "The weather is really nice outside."
"
"I got a job at a coffee shop. It's my first day of work."
"I don't know what I want to do. I was thinking about going on a roadtrip across America and go sight seeing. I was also considering getting into photography as a side hobby. Plus there was this book I've been meaning to write."
Jessica (Black haired one) - Anna Chloe M. is voicing.]
Accent: American
Age: 20s
Jessica is Samantha's friend and roommate. She is pretty emotionless most of the time, with a dry and sometimes sarcastic voice. I was inspired by the character of Raven from the cartoon Teen Titans, but she's evolved into something unique.
Test lines: "I hate life."
"When is he going to die already?"
"Mr. Darcy was the only joy I had in life. He was my best friend. I can't believe he's gone."
Samantha
Age: 20s
Accent: American
Samantha is Jessica's friend and roommate. She has a fairly average woman's voice, but I am open to different interpretations.
Test Lines: "Thanks for coming over. What kind of movie should we watch?"
"Do you ever wish you knew someone interesting? Someone who was really fascinating with vast knowledge and experience?"
"That's sick. I'm leaving!"
Minor Characters
There's a decent bit of characters with only 1-4 lines of dialogue. Here they are.

(From Left to Right)
Bob - Jay Silver is voicing.]
Accent: American
Age: 30s
Bob is the manager of a coffee shop. He has a fairly happy demeanor based off his face,
but I'm looking for a subtle level of "fake happy" in it. He's not exactly an antagonistic character, but he's not really a protagonist either.
Test Line: "Are you ready for your first day of work?"
Smiling Guy - Jay Silver is voicing.]
Accent: American
Age: 20-40s
A happy man with a cheerful, deep, golden voice.
Test Line: "It's a wonderful day."

Test line: "Want some donuts?"
Random Customer - Shelby Pritchard is voicing.]

Age: 20-30s
Average manly voice.
Test line: "Can I have a cappuccino?"

Handsome Skydiver - Jay Silver is voicing.]
Accent: American
Average manly voice, not unlike the last guy.
Test line: "I enjoy long walks on the beach, tennis, and sky diving."
Timid Customer - JohnDthunDer is voicing.]
Accent: American
Age: 20-40s
Kind of timid and reserved, with a mid to high voice. He really looks like a timid "Tom Selleck" to me.
Test line: "Excuse me, could I have a coffee?"

Female Customer - Brick7 is voicing.]
Accent: Any!
Age: 20-30
Average female voice.
Test line: "I'll take a venti iced skinny hazelnut macchiato, extra ice, no whip.
Annoying Customer- Jampot is voicing.]
Accent: Any!
Age: 20-30
He's a cheapskate. Open to whatever interpretation.
Test line: "What can I get for a dollar?"

Beardman - Rioforce is voicing.]
Accent: American (Redneck?)
Age: 30-50
He's beardman. Tough, gruff, and hairy.
Test line: "I'm beard man!"
Ted- Jampot is voicing.]
Accent: American (And British)
Age: 20-30
Average guy voice. Also need him to be able to do a good Paul McCartney impersonation.
Test line: "I really enjoy puppets. They're nice."
2nd test line (As Paul): "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Fairly decent mics, good recording spots (no echo or background noise), and ability to export to .wav is highly recommended. Especially for the people auditioning for one of the main characters.
And finally...
Thank you!
Even if I don't pick you for your audition, it means a lot to me that you'd take the time out to do this.
I'll be searching for available voices both here (And off) the forums over the next two weeks. I'll try to update who's voicing who as often as I can, but I still want to give all the opportunity to be a part of this.
